Counting from my junior high school to postgraduate period ,my English learning course has been 13 years,a relatively long time. However, my English skills are still limited to reading with the help of translation app, but unable to express what I think exactly.Especially after leaving the school to the work in a state-owned enterprise , and I had been occupied by repeated and tedious work , which made me feel depressed, and I struggled to find a right way to keep my English-learning, but in vain ,because of my weak willpower and ineffective methods.
One day last year, my colleague recommended me a best seller book, The Kite Runner ,written by Khaled Hosseini. This story was mainly aboutbetrayal and salvation between two boys , Amiar and Hassan, in Afghnistan. It meant a lot to me not only because of its impressive plots but also because it was the first English book I’ve finished .My sense of accomplishment was growing strongly as I read the novel page by page. I insisted on reading the whole story by one month despite of many unknown words or weird area names, realizing that I’ve found an interesting way to keep learning and improving my English and I can do something with English .
In my spare time, I keep reading three or more short English articles ,listening oral English broadcast with the app “kekenet”, which is best English learning app I’ve found and users can improve oral English ,listening and reading . I just do some listening or reading here by casual without listing a schedule, and then ,whether my English learning course can keep going on is completely decided by my occasional interest to some extent. I usually blame this to the lack of driving power.
Someday in this April, one of my friends introduced me of this "Write or out" plan. At first，I was not sure if I can stick to it, but I know this is the driving power I need . It’s said that there is no turning back of an arrow. once this ship starts，I won't have any chance of giving up . Since I haven't written in English for a long time, it may be hard at the beginning and nothing remarkable can be found in my essay,but I will try my best and improve my English step by step.
