Margaret is my first local kiwi landlord and actually,I have mentioned before,we met each other at church at first time.It's an interesting story.

When I moved in her house,she showed me around and told me something about the situation and her habits.The house is not so big,but clean ,tidy and sweet.when she opened the fridge,she showed me a zucchini and I had no idea how to name it.She spelled it and I searched it.And she told me another name------courgette.From now on,she became my first English teacher in New Zealand.

Margaret is 73 years old,maybe 71.I am not sure.But she looks energetic and healthy.After high school,she began her apprenticeship for several years and to be a occupational therapist.As a occupational therapist,she often provided advice on daily life to those disabled people.After 4 or 5 years,she met her husband and resigned ,then became a housewife.Actually,Margaret was his second wife.After his first wife passed away,he married Margaret.Her husband had 5 children.But I am not sure whether they are Margaret's.

What really surprises me is that the daily life of Margaret is farctate and busy.Sometimes,she goes to play croquet.Sometimes,she goes to be a volunteer at school.And else,she would go out having a cup a tea with friends.And she likes crossing puzzles.Often,after her meal,she will read the newspaper and finish the crossing puzzles.

As for her food,she often cooks the meal herself,just like sandwich,pizza and some soup using vegetable.She seldom eats meat,but not means a vegan mainly for her health.She has her vegetable garden in front of her house including zucchini,chickbean,herb,green pepper and persimmon.

Yesterday,after my dinner,she suddenly showed me a funny stone giving by her friend from South Iland.It is a really strange stone.There is a hole inside the stone and a small stone inside.So if you shake the stone,there will be a sound.

After all,Margaret is my English teacher without an agreement.She has taught me so many things until now.When moving in for forst two days,she told me the words about the louvre,element,duvet,linen,icing,bun(yeast,dough and knead) and peeler.she told me the difference between "have tea" and "have a cup of tea"."Have a cup of tea"means just having a cup of tea,but "Have tea"means having a meal with others.Besides,she told me the difference between "boarder"and "lodger";"certificate","diploma" and "degree";"savoury" and "sweet";"cabnet" ,"cupboard" and "wardrobe",the defination of "pepper" and how to express flavour.

I love this sweet house,while it let me remember my mom,my family.I love my landlord.Thank you!
