首先说几个好的表达：
1. 距离表达组
1) see ... only + 数字 + yards/meters away from sb.
当你想表达“看到什么东西离你有多远”时，就可以用这个句型
举个栗子：智鸣哥看到他3米外有一只大耗子 Benjamin saw/sees a big rat/mouse only 3 meters away from him.
2) sw + 数字 + away 多少距离之外
举个栗子：智鸣哥住在20公里以外的一座城市。Benjamin lives in a city 20 kilometers away.
3）sw + 数字 + away from sw 离…多少距离之外
举个栗子：智鸣哥住在距北京20公里以外的一座城市。 Benjamin lives in a city 20 kilometers away from Beijing.
这几个距离表达组，你get到了咩～
2. 证明组
prove (to be) +adj =turn out to be+ adj
3. 相信组
1）be fully convinced that… 完全信服、完全相信
栗子：我完全相信我的学生是最优秀的. I am fully convinced that my students are the best.
2) convince sb that…使某人信服
栗子：You convince me that you are the best. 我被你信服…
4. It is disturbing to think that….一旦想到…就令人惴惴不安
Some Tips:
1. 只要看到代词，就要明确指代对象。
2. 动宾分离现象
Wherever it went, it left behind it a trail of dead deer and small animals like rabbits.
课文中的这句话中， leave behind sb + sth（把…留在后边） →_→ 此处是动宾分离现象，sth 与 leave分离。正常的语序是 left sth behind sb
之前在智鸣哥的长难句课上，智鸣哥告诉我们，动宾分离属于分隔结构。动宾分离有两种情况：
第一种是宾语太长，于是放后面。
比如，正常语序的动词➕宾语➕状语变成——动词➕状语➕宾语
第二种是动词➕宾语补足语➕宾语
举几个栗子：
我想跟你分享一个想法
以前版本： I want to share one of ideas with you.
现在版本：I like to share with you one of my ideas.
动宾分离的小知识，你get了咩～
3. 宾语补足语VS主语补足语
主动变被动时——宾补变主补。因此，主补经常在被动语态中出现
常见的宾补动词：find/make/see
接下来是A puma at large这篇课文的句型提炼～
原句1：Pumas are large, cat-like animals which are found in America.
句型提炼1：某人/物 is/are 形容词1，形容2+类别+which/who…
当你想表达什么东西产物哪里就可以用这个句型
举几个栗子：
熊猫是大型，长得像熊的动物，发源于中国。 Pandas are large, bear-like animals which are found in China.
西瓜是美味的，长得像球的水果，发源于非洲。Watermelons are a delicious, ball-like fruit which are found in Africa.
（注意：这里的a fruit 指的是一种水果，而非一个水果)
智鸣哥是一个帅气，长得像孩子的老师，工作于北京 Benjamin is a handsome, child-like teacher who is working/works in Beijing.
看了这几个栗子后，有没有对这个句型的用法更加清晰了呢～
原句2：When reports came into London Zoo that a wild puma had been spotted forty-five miles south of London, they were not taken seriously.
【句型提炼】当….接到消息时，这个消息没有得到重视
When reports came into + 地点 + that ______ they were not taken seriously.
举几个栗子：
当长沙接到成千上万的死猪肉进入长沙市场的消息时，这些消息并没有受到重视。When reports came into Changsha that thousands of unfresh pork had been brought into Changsha's market, they were not taken seriously.
注意：死猪肉不要用dead pork，因为猪肉本来就是死的嘛。应该用unfresh pork更加贴切，不新鲜的猪肉～
