Hello everyone and thank you for being here today.
In this presentation, we will walk you through a proposed strategic relocation of an XPS foam production line from Thunder Bay, Ontario, to a new manufacturing facility in Utah, USA.
As you may know, XPS foam is a critical material used in high-performance insulation applications., and at Eco Carbon Foam, we specialize in producing low emission, low carbon solutions for rapidly growing and evolving construction market.
This relocation initiative is designed to align with market demand in the U.S., streamline logistics, and eliminate the substantial cost burden imposed by cross border tariffs. It also enables us togrow capacity while maintaining our commitment to clean production and operational efficiency.
Let’s begin with a look at the key motivations for driving this move.
So why are we relocating to Utah?
The primary driver is cost, the US has imposed a 150% import tariff on manufacturing equipment, which would apply to nearly 500,000 worth of assets if we were to keep production in Canada and shipto the US, these costs have become unsustainable.
At the same time, our US customers require three truckloads of XPS foam per day, making it essential to operate closer to the point of demand. By moving operations to Utah, we not only eliminate tariff exposure, but also improve delivery speed and price competitiveness.
The project has a total budget of CAD 3.7 million and a timeline from December 2025 to March 2026. Our goal is to have the Utah facility fully operational by March 2026.
