I object to her perspective. The reason why children never want to work is that some people force them to do the things they don't like.  If they love it, no supervision is needed for them. Though children do have bad self control, and quite easy to give up, just remember that they are still kids ,  needing tolerance and guidance from parents.You can persuade them, inspire their interests in it again rather than threaten and punishment. My parents always support my hobbies. Therefore, I was astonished when I knew she thought it was a kind of Chinese education way.  It's ridiculous and pathetic. Not only for her thought, but also for her children. They should have had delightful childhood. Due her own childhood in the same odd style , she thought this peculiar way made her prominent. But this kind of success is the very thing I won't admit ， neither do many Chinese parents.
