I choose the Southwest Jiaotong University because /of the following reasons.
Firstly, it has been my dream place for years /as it owns the top quality /facilities and the best environment for conducting research in this area.
Secondly, I could learn up-to-date knowledge /and real world experience /to brace myself for future career /after graduation.
Therefore, I could receive a first-class education it provide me /with excellent prospect /for employment /and career development.
在大学四年得学习中，我逐渐发现自己对于力学研究得兴趣，也希望能在该领域有所建树，但仅凭自己的兴趣爱好，是很难有所作为的，所以我希望能够成为一名研究生在导师指导下让自己快速成长。在我向我的院长咨询时，他向我推荐了贵校的力学专业，他讲到贵校素有“东方康奈尔”之称,秉承精勤求学、敦笃励志、果毅力行、忠恕任事”的价值观，重视力学专业学科建设，并有独特的人才培养方案，所以我希望能够在这里，实现自己的目标。
2. How do you plan to study in your postgraduate program?
In my opinion, the study method is quite important for research. So firstly, I will choose an appropriate approach in my study area with your guidance. Then I will draw a practical research plan and time schedule, so that I can form a systematic view of my major. Thirdly, I would familiarize myself with the latest development of this area by reading books and journals.
I do hope that I can get somewhere in this field. If necessary, I will continue my research and study to pursue a doctor’s degree.

Engineering mechanics首先，力学与土木工程学科互有交叉，在我本科学院里，工程力学是属于我们学院的一个系，所以对于工程力学专业还是有所了解对的，而且力学的专业课程我也学习了不少，比如：理论力学、材料力学、结构力学等。在学习过程中，逐渐发现自己对于力学的理论知识以及结构的力学分析比较感兴趣，其次，就我个人而言，也比较喜欢从事研究工作。有了本科阶段土木工程专业的基础，为我深入学习力学以及力学与实践的结合也会很有帮助。
4. What is your greatest strength?(personality)
我认为我的最大优势就是勤奋。我出生在农村，家里有四口人，父母，我和妹妹，我的父母都是农民。家庭条件也不是特别好，尤其是在我小时候，但我的父母用亲身的经历教会了我，要做一个勤奋和努力的人。高中聚会的时候，我们班主任的一句话让我印象深刻：他说人生最重要的就是要勤奋和努力，其次是注重选择，最后要把握机遇，所以勤奋是最重要而且是你能够掌控的东西。它也确实在一直帮助我，他让我努力去提升自我，寻求改变，让我珍惜时间。

6. What is your shortcoming?
我认为我最大的缺点是在表达能力方面有很多不足。比如容易紧张、缺乏逻辑性、不能将自己的想法完整的去展现出来。表达能力是一种很重要的能力，逻辑思维的创始人罗振宇说过，当代社会，最重要的能力就是表达能力。因为，在未来社会最重要的资产，是影响力。影响力怎么构成？两个能力——第一写作，第二演讲。在我们的生活中，表达能力是一种很重要的能力，在学习中，也许你有一肚子的墨水，但就是表达不出来，丧失了展示自我的机会。在工作中，如果你的表达能力弱，你就是能力再强，你也无法带好一个团队，在恋爱中，你如果不善言辞，你也不可能赢得女神的芳心。也许有人说，我天生腼腆，不善于表达自己的想法 ，一让我在很多人面前讲话的时候，我就特别的紧张，紧张地说不出话来。但我相信没有人天生善于表达自己，表达是一种能力，可以通过刻意训练来提高自己。所以当我意识到这一点，我就开始寻求改变，开始尝试多与陌生人沟通，抓住在公众场合演讲的机会，现在虽然还不是很善于表达，但至少我感觉我在变好，也希望利用研究生阶段努力改善自己这个方面的不足。
I think my biggest shortcoming is that my.expression ability is not good. When I speak in front of many people, I will be nervous and speechless.
In our lives, the ability to express is a very important ability.
If you can’t express it , athough you have a good idea, you will lose the opportunity to show yourself.
if your ability to express is weak, no matter how strong you are, but you cannot lead a team.
if you don't speak well, you can't win the girl's heart that you love.
But I believe that no one is naturally good at expressing. Expression is an ability that can be improved through deliberate training. And I hope that I can work hard to improve it in postgraduate stage.

我最喜欢的一本书之一是《你当像鸟飞往你的山》，英文书名是《Educated》 ，作者是塔拉 韦斯特弗，这是她的第一部作品，也是她人生的自传。
她是一个十七岁前从未踏入教室的大山女孩，但是她靠自学取得了剑桥大学历史学博士学位。
她来自一个极少能有人想象的家庭，他们家信仰摩门教，而且她的父亲还是个极端的摩门教教徒，他们信封的教义，大多与现代主流价值观相反，比如提倡一夫多妻制，父亲不让他们上学，不让他们就医，也不允许他们拥有自己的声音，从某种意义上说，塔拉的家庭就是一个文明的死角，塔拉就是从小在这样的环境中长大。
每个家庭都会给孩子两个重要的礼物，一个是亲情，另一个就是常识。但有时候这种礼物也会是一种负担，至少对塔拉来说是的。
直到她逃离大山，打开另一个世界。她摆脱了原生家庭的负面影响，收获了全新的自我，这个全新的自我就是塔拉suo 称的教育。她用自己的故事证明了一个道理，不管原生家庭带给你多么可怕的负面影响，你都能够彻底改变自己，塑造全新的自我，这就是教育赋予我们的力量。
由此我也想到心理学家阿德勒的一个观点：你的行为不取决于你的过去，而是取决于你对于过去的解读，他也认为我们任何时候你开始都能够改变自己
One of my favorite books is 《educated》 written by Tara Westford. It is her first work and her autobiography. This book is very popular with readers. According to the title of the book, we can know that it is a story about education, but it is more than education.
Tara comes from a small mountain village. She did not go to school before the age of seventeen, but she obtained a doctor’s degree in Cambridge University by working hard.
She comes from an abnormal family. Many of her family's thoughts are contrary to the mainstream values of modern society,especially her farther. To some extent, her family is a place with no civilization. Tara grew up in such a family. But she walked out of the mountains and into a new world because of her efforts. She said goodbye to her past and embraced a new life. Her story tells me that no matter how bad your past is, you can try to change it.

My hometown is Luyi. Luyi is a city with a thick and vibrant culture. There are many famous tourist attractions, such as Mingdao Palace and Taiqing Palace, etc. And it is the cradle of Taoist. Luyi is undergoing a period of rapid development. I have witnessed its change, as the same that I am trying to grow. I am proud of my hometown, and I hope my hometown is proud of me.

11. If there were an opportunity of studying abroad, what would you do?
Thanks for your question. If there were an opportunity of studying aborad, I will seize it. First, I will get prepared with my English, especially search for the sourses on the internet are the best choices. In addition, learning the cultures of other countries is important because studying abroad means to blend into a new life.
12. Where have you benn traveling to? Which place interested you most?
Thank you for your question. I love traveling. I always go traveling with my parents or my friends. Among all the scenic spots, I prefer Zhuhai. It has the most pleasant climate, the fresh air and the warm sunshine, the blue of the sea, the soft sand and the most delicious seafood. For the tourists from all over the world are irresistible. That is a relaxed city.

Thank you for your question. I very clear that life is not successful at any time. It is full of challenge coming from life and I will never regret but try again and be more diligent. 1. What has benn your greatest accomplishment?/what is the worst thing you have
self-disciplined person
I think my greatest achievement is to overcome my shortcomings and become a self-disciplined person. When I first entered the university, I experienced great changes in the way of study, life, and thinking. I was also curious about many activities and participated in them. Therefore, I was busy every day and felt very tired, but I didn't gain a lot. When I realized this, I began to seek change. I started to learn how to manage my time, how to make plans and what things must do. Gradually , my life became regular and the efficiency of my study and work improved a lot. I also have more time to do what I like. Now I still insist that making plans before doing things and it has benn my habit, so this is my biggest achievement.
我认为我最大成就就是让自己变成了一个自律的人。
1. 刚进入大学，我的学习方式、生活方式、以及思想上都经历了很大转变，所以一时之间不能很好的适应，而且刚开始活动等事情也比较多，我也总是为了新鲜感去盲目的尝试参加了很多活动，以至于总感觉自己一直处于忙碌的状态，甚至会同时处好多事情，弄得自己手忙脚乱，但我也没有太大收获。
2. 当我意识到这一点的时候我就开始寻求改变。学着去管理自己的时间，分清事情的轻重缓急，养成制制定计划的习惯。慢慢的我做事开始有规律，并且做事的效率也提了上去，也不至于那么累，反而有充足的时间去做自己喜欢的事情，比如，在闲暇的时候，我喜欢……

16. 你经历过的最艰难的时刻？
目前为止，我所经历的事情，大部分都是在学校发生的。最艰难的一次应该是大二上学期，学习、比赛、学生会、以及个人情感方面的事情很多，也总容易出问题，压力也很大。而我尽量提前把学生会的事情提前安排或者请其他人帮忙，把课程学习尽量在课堂上处理完成。虽然整天忙的不可开交，但还是很感谢那段时间，让我
