The advancement of computer science has become one critical issue that captures public concern in consideration of the influence on human development. Numbers of people think over the issue about whether this trend will generate optimistic results or not. My view is that computer technology, if applied properly, would bring more benefits than harms.
The problems which cannot be handled by human beings can be addressed by the application of computer technology. More specifically, robots equipped with advanced computer technology are not restricted by physiological and emotional factors, which are able to deal with tasks in the environment that is hostile ( not suitable ) to humans. For example, some devices are programmed to detect resources in outer space collect and then deliver date.
Human beings can be emancipated from chores. This is because smarter computer will enable people not to handle repetitive and labor-demanding jobs in the future. For example, some smart home systems and furniture can monitor the room temperature, sweep floors and clean windows automatically, which means human beings are enabled to deal with more creative tasks.
However, the utilization of intelligent computers would pose a threat to human safety. In other words, some people believe if computers are intelligent enough, they may try to get rid of human control and attack humans, so that they can become the king of the world just like some plots in science fiction books. Nevertheless, dangerous occasions can be avoided through the effective manipulation of human beings.
To conclude, with some effective regulatory measures the development of computer science and technology will largely benefit human beings.
