下面是我2013年3月收到Frank突然去世消息时流着泪写的关于他的记忆，想让他还小的孩子（一个5岁一个3岁）有一天可以记住真实的父亲。会写一篇中文的，让我自己记住！其实从未忘记！
Frank in Lausanne 2008
Frank draws my attention with his energy, positive attitudeand enthusiasm in the EMBA class at the very early stage when EMBA group came togetherin 2008; he is very active in the class and always likes to discover deep on almost everything. The intensity of the class and assignment sometimes drove us crazy and some of us quite easily lost patience after days and nights working but he seemed maintain a good mental balance. He likes to run which made us get closer to run together along the beautiful lake, I remembered I always asked many questions during the running early in the morning and he was very good at answering questions.He is a nice person to chat occasionally no matter where we met.I felt he is one of the few having the similar energy level in the class.
In a sunny afternoon after class we met with Beat on the path to the hotel we took a photo together which showed so much sunshine in our face and our life: we are young and ambitious, and we believe we can make adifference in life, we all have big dreams to fulfill………………
We enjoyed small group of people together after class for dinner or drink. One of the evenings we got a nice dinner in the restaurant of Chateau D’ouchy. Frank is always the one who is “picky” about food and chose carefully what to eat and drink. We got used to it by then……..Yogesh and Frank are very close as both of them have a lot of things in common and both are fun persons enjoy drinking and dancing. And they stayed late………….we had good dancing party in Bar Rouge andI was amazed by their vivid movement and long lasting until who knows when………..Good to have a few guys like that!
However Frank is a person very serious about the learning and his assignment paper is a good demonstration of a lot of hours and carefulwork. We were sharing one of his A score assignment I had to say there are quite some gap between his and mine……….He was very active in any class discussion or group work, as long as he was part of the group we know we could not easily let it go…….no matter what that means:+). He would fight on his points!
We love parties, once a while:+), great to have Lausanne gangs, Christopher and Mathias both having a nice house facing each other along the bank of Geneva lake with gorgeous view. We enjoyed the fine quality of Swiss Roquet cheese and their kids were running around asking for our signatures. The house is full of small fun talks, jokes, photos, cheese, wines and champagnes.The Swiss guys did a fantastic job to make all of us feel warm and cozy. There were many disagreement and challenges along the study but also a strong friendship and sharing experience developed at the same time.
Yes we talked about what motivates our life, is it family,life style, power, community or autonomy; Frank is a good person to have this kindof conversation. For him life style is important, having a luxury house and traveling in style with five start hotels, making sure family having good quality of life……….but autonomy is more on top of it and he feels he needs a lot of independence of working and operating. It should be a job like a consultant or independent entrepreneur then. Close to graduation I know he was working on the possibility of realizing this and considering working in Egon Zehnder, which surprised me at the beginning but he explained the way how EZ is operating and which is what he is looking for: independence, high intellectuals and well paid. All right I got it and wished he could get it. After many rounds of interviews he flied all over places in Europe, of course in style, EZ is freezing their headcount due to financial downtown kicking in.
Yes we all like life in style and one evening the group are in Palace hotel Lausanne, we got our nice bottles and cigars……….do not want to show that photo here:+). I like this one with Marco and Frank, three of usenjoyed our wine and cigars but most importantly the accompany of each other!
Frank in California Sep. 2008
Florian had this great initiative before heading to silicon valley why not get together to do the wine tasting along the amazing beautiful wine country north of San Francisco. Frank loves fine wine and a few of us grouing together we did not dare to broadcast by knowing this might be too attractive for too many:+)
Frank again offered to drive us as a generous offer as noneof us want to drive with the wine tasting, we headed to the vineyard which Florian has connections; remembered most of the time Frank was cheering and happy,being selective and had opinion on every wine we tasted; he was also the one when ladies want to have icecream that he would support the enthusiasm and simple happiness. We had nice dinner in one of the good restaurant but not French Laundry: Florian tried to make a booking but it normally takes months ahead or even year. We felt lucky comparing with the other guys who either can only come the exact time of starting the course or guys going for sailing……who wants that:+),
It was a nice combination of group of people: Mel and boyfriend Chris, Kamal, Vanessa, Florian, Pablo, Frank……sharing similar value system: enjoy the fine wine and food, take life easily, at least before the working week start!
Frank suggesteda run early next morning I am so happy to get a running buddy but next day realize he was up to the top of the hill; we were in a beautiful foggy trail whole way up and I am not used to the uphill but felt either motivated or being competitive to go with him. Do not remember whatever we chated, but we talked non-stoop, always interesting and fun…….while running uphill………..headed to the top to explore the environement and we appreciated the beauty of nature. Frank liked to explore all the route around sowith me; we had our photos taken to memorize this great moment of conquering the elevation, life is worth celebrating!!! I see he has a fondness on Califonia!!!
We were offered to see a baseball game by Morgan, who is the local however things did not happen that way and just remember a comment from Frank “next time somebody else should drive then I can enjoy the wine as much as u guys”……..we were laughing, no way, as long as he is around, he can be counted on.
The week in Silicon Valley was stressful at that point as we needed prepare the pitch for VC and each group was working on their own entrepreneur case with a lot of internal challenges; time just flied and do not remember I spent a lot of time with Frank, besides one of the nice evening:
We were in one of the most famous vineyard and with Florian good connection we have been offered three bottles of fine wines to bring back;which means in Silicon valley we keep on thinking to make a night out in a good seafood restaurant. I remember very clearly Frank is up for lobster(who always wants the best:+) and so with Florian, who normally eats little but not with great food. I was amazed how much the guys are eating and but clearly see the guys are enjoying life so much, life so worth living!!!
Frank in Shanghai Sep. 2008
I remembered to see Guimar pregnant ………..did not know when she is expecting the baby; When we were in Shanghai Frank did not come earlier as normally he would do to have some extra time understanding the city; then it is crazy project going on with each team and everyone was in full speed to prepare for the final presentation. Then one day in a big setting Frank stood up and said in a very exciting voice with a rare nervous tone to tell us he was going to fly back that night as his wife, Guimar is delivering a baby!!! Wow,we were all surprised by the news and also his decision to go back before the big day: final presentation…………I was thinking “mine, what a lucky woman” then worried if the school would allow him pass!!! Another voice also rings “since u are already here why not just get it done then go home………”. It is completely naïve out of a single woman without knowing the power of family on a happily married man!!! Frank face is shining and he is sharing the entire excitement and happiness with all of us, that moment is remembered by most of us through all these years!!!
Frank and Guimar in graduation Nov. 2008
Time flies………….we are graduating and everyone is having different feelings, some are eager to get it done and some are feeling a bit loss; some are ready for the change and some are more than happy back home spending more time with the family.
Frank, Ray, Francisco….we were in the same group, last assignment on debate” Free trade”; Frank was a bit distracted and not like the normal Frank everything has to be perfect; I remembered one of his assignment is getting a A, he was so proud of it and I was asking him why that matters………….forgot exactly what he said but something like “a recognition for the efforts and I work hard to get it perfect”…oh. Once in the discussion he was calling Francisco “Pablo” I was surprised and wondered what he was thinking those days………..
The graduation is a big day, family are coming and Guimar,Sunny and many significant half is attending. My friend Sarah as well and I am happy she can make it at the same time we all think about how to take care of our family and friend during the event as well. Frank talked to me about the seating during the dinner and suggested a few of us sitting together: Florian,Yogesh, Marco and me……..I have not thought about it, was surprised how thoughtful he is and it is nice to be “selected” as a closer friend but I also was a bit unsure how Rob would feel as his partner Jamie would be there as well. It was a fantastic evening and ladies look gorgeous and guys are handsome. Of course it is a bit distanced in a way that we are to each other with the family around but we had a good time. We danced and danced. Both Frank and Yogesh were dancing high and low which drew a lot of my admiration, what a flexible body!!! We danced and danced………………
We make a wish, between Frank, Florian and myself, we wantto go to New York, to challenge 2009 New York Marathon!!! It is a challenge but also a wish three of us can keep a close relationship with each other and be friend forever!!! Which we did and we are!!!
Friendship after EMBA
Frank In Shanghai
I was so happy knowing Frank got a business trip to Shanghai and we said to spend a weekend together. It was nice having him staying in my house which is rare for me to host a male friend. We had developed trust among us. Such a strong memory about Frank preparing breakfast in the morning, he basically used all the cooking utensils of the kitchen which is not a lot, to prepare muesli with apple and banana: showing me how to make a good combination which surprised me when he added some olive oil which according to him is the key of the formula to maintain fullness with good health benefit!!! Such a drama！ I was telling myself even it tasted well as I was sick of breakfast at that time and was not ready for taking anything in the morning besides café……..how my friend has changed me as now the breakfast becomes the most enjoyable meal in the day!
We went to old French concession area to have a nice walkand had some thai food as he was hungry very soon again after his “fullness”breakfast. We had a nice run together in the morning on second day then visited the old ancient town Xitan. He talked a lot about the book “the seven habits”which we went through one by one to chat on how it means to us, I did buy the book afterwards and did like it very much. It was a long discussion around it which contributes a lot the fact that we know each other better. Seems he mentioned Guimar also read the book and there is another 7 habits on marriage, something like that?
First Expedition in Greece 2009
Anthony and organizing committee did a great job to organizeour first expedition trip in Athens. I was there a few days earlier to explorethe island and knew that Frank was there with the family in another island: it is a typical case for him to enjoy the most in life and he did tell us how much the family enjoyed the time together.
We had a very official program and met many exciting people from different background and had a great dinner on top of the hill overlooking the whole Anthens; still remembered the funny conversation over the table that Invest in Greece folks after entertaining us a nice dinner and told us “we allwant to get out of Greece as soon as possible……….!!!”
Anthony family has a very nice house by the sea where we spent our Saturday there,swimming,chatting over the pool…….we had our leadership discussion which surprised other guys, yes we are long lasting leadership buddies!
Yes, we have photos anywhere……..waiting for the bus and whatever, good buddies loving photos together.
So in the evening we were told there was something special organized by Frank: not surprised Frank would do something special as always.I was curious and as a typical Frank he told me ahead that I should support his initiative………..ok, of course,as always………..
It turns out Frank was memorizing Michael Jackson and played some soundtrack of him and encouraged us to learn how to do the dance of Moontrack………what a H!!! I was not ready for it and the group was not very much into moon dancing also. But I promised my friend, so again, I was the first one to join in and we danced, not moon dance but sort of………….this added a nice flavor to the evening and I thought about that night every time hearing of Michael Jackson!!!
New York Marathon 2009
Florian, Frank and myself are committed to the marathon in New York City 2009 and we were happy to see Florian created an illuminated picture to motivate himself. I was in full speed training and knowing Florian started also. We did not know how Frank was doing with his training though. The most important is that we all came to New York city!!! Ray has given us some recommendation what to do and Guimar, Sunny and kids were all around, what a great thing for somebody like me without family and able to celebrated my time with close friends and family.
I first caught up with Frank in his friend lovely loft in Soho and waited for Guimar coming, who had a drama logistic putting kids in Spain and turned around back etc……..still remembered we headed to Houston street to find a small and cozy Italian restaurant I took a photo of them and remembered it is first time to have a bit more close time with Guimar: a nice couple indeed.
The drama thing is first night we went to seafood restaurant Ray recommended and then Ray was supposed in the ocean sailing to Mexico,appeared by the door!!! We were shocked at the same time fascinated by his legendary story: his boat was overturned by a group of whales which never happened before and they were rescued by Mexican safeguard and sent back after getting their new passport in American embassy!!! Ray was still in shock and never liked whale again………we were not sure how we are going to react as it was out of scope of imagination.
The fact is Florian will not run but enrolled and Frank instead would ran half with me from the midpoint, I was a bit nervous about the running even Frank kept on telling me I would finish earlier than 4.30 hours based on the experience he ran with me in Shanghai……I was not sure about that!
We had one of the most beautiful breakfast together in Wholefoods Union square which I still remembered vividly that is the first time we know whole foods concept and also the happy and sunshine feeling when we all gathered together in second floor overlooking Union Square. I bought some pies from the open market and love New York with what it is that morning………….I took a nice photo of four of them when they looked at the strange clock artwork………..we went to national history museum…….
We did go to the Halloween parade in a light raining evening, remembered we met in a café in Soho then tried to find spot close tothe parade. Frank was up and down to find his perfect photoing spot with his professional camera, I did not see much of his photos though on that night…..but as a typical Frank jumping up and down so much fun to watch him….and parade.We went to an Indian restaurant just before the big day which was the innocence of Ray, it is probably the least food I should eat before marathon so that I took Nans only,which I enjoyed very much accompany of the group. Guimar was joking to Frank in terms of running only half “this is not the Frank I know of” I was laughing so much as it is so funny to see the dynamics of them as Frank was teasing “so nice of my wife, for me running a full marathon without proper training”……..I really like them and the joke!!! Was so happy he would run half with me and we just had to coordinate on how to meet up in the bridge of midpoint…….
Frank told me he monitored the pace of my first half marathon already knowing I would finish within 4 hours or even less; I was very cautious the first half and also needed pass so many people in front as I was in 4.30 hours block. It was easy to find Frank in red before the bridge and was so motivated to have him joining. He was very sunshine and ran fast among the crowds which made me to chase him close after; and this speeded me up and we crossed around left and right which was a fun thing! I was not ready to take too much energy gels along the way, but he picked up quite a few and kept on asking to eat more before I felt out of power. It was good suggestion as I did feel very energetic through the second half and did not feel much the bottleneck point. He took some photos of me when we ran which becomes some precious moment memory as I was not very well prepared by the official camera point; which Frank was, there are quite a few phones later on when I bought package, Frank was cheering in front occupying the major part of screen:+). Because of Frank I was running much faster than I thought I would and in good spirit all the time, in a way we were a bit competitive with each other and also the feeling of passing so many big tall guys was satisfying………..He was saying afterwards we at least passed 5000 people, not an exaggeration!!! I was sograteful with the fact he shared one of the most important events of my life,which is also one of the fun memories of him afterwards. Quite often when Iwalked in Central Park, I would have the impulse to send him a note or make a call, when all the touching and beautiful moments come back, until now!!! If not stronger…………
When close to Central Park we tried to close to the left side in order to see our friends there, the whole crew is there, but we could not find them in the big crowd! Two of us one after together closely passed the finish line with such an excitement and enjoyment, deeply touched by the feeling of achievement, we hugged together and took our photos! I remembered we were so excited and chitchatted non-stop on how it felt and was shocked with the time of finish 3.33 hours. Frank pushed me to stretch but I was so overjoyed and could not stay calm, we followed the exit which is a long way outbut without noticing the surrounding even……….then we realized we could not cross the street easily back hotel to meet up our friend, Frank again,suggested we followed the runners running again towards the finish line then we took a side track exit………….it is not the best practice but a good practice, we got our champagne cheering with the sunshine group: Guimar, Florian, Sunny,Kids, Ray, Frank and myself……..what a joy to celebrate the moment with close friends and I felt so lucky, thanks to my dear friends and this great memory isso strong I will live with it forever.
Funny enough wa s in the evening we went to Meat packing district and was not tired, almost none and had a drink in the chic bar of Stand hotel……..all those good days without tiresome, not even after marathon and we were proud of ourselves on that!
Had good time with Frank and Guimar in the following day we were having good nice photos in Central Park, both Guimar and myself making funny faces on the bench of 5thavenue and got to know Guimar better which was a great thing to become closer………We were in Times Square where Ray told us he never went, we went and had our photos there……it was fun! Forgot what Frank was doing, but one morning Guimar and myself went to Soho having brunch with Ray in Café Bazhard with such a warm and nice ambience, we were in Ray’s office then walked along the old nice street of Soho; the more I know Guimar the more I like her: she is very cool, remembered Frank was telling me there is some similarities between us and I feel that……
New York, is the dream city, is my dream city to live, hereI come! With more opportunities to meet Frank, spent good time together and life goes on………..
Munich Expedition 2010
Frank put a lot of efforts on organizing Munich Expedition, as he was in charge we did not have any concernon the quality of the visit………….it turns out as it is expected!!! If not more……….
I arrived again one day earlier to meet Guimar for our adventure of visiting a very famous religious show in the mountain village close to Munich. It was great that Guimar would go with me and we could spend some good time together………….without booking ticket ahead even. We arrived there to realize all the tickets are gone but as at ypical optimism of us, we both believere we would get ticket by standing by there to get lucky: either people would sell their tickets or some tickets reserved would have to be sold eventually………..it did not appear that easy as many others thought the same thing but we are very persistent and we both chased around as long as some people seem having ticket appearing.We actually got it, separatedly, both of us were so excited………..we had a nice walk in the beautiful village and saw some good handcraft work, the village was infull mood of demonstrating the show. I did not remember much of the content of the show as it was pure in German but remembered when the night fell and whole godness of stage with the setting touched every audient deeply…….it was beautiful as a dream, it was a dream!
A few of us, Ray, Morgan and Michele and me had the nice accompany of Florian to visit his beautiful delicacy shop, it was a nice tour with the champagne in the oyster bar. We had the most insight on how to fun a luxury landmark business!!!
Frank and Guimar were busy to prepare for the welcome party in the evening…………..which was a great event. The apartment is a nice place with the two floors and open terrace (Frank said once that he would set up a tent in the terrace to sleep there which creates such a nice imagination for me and in one point it almost inspried me to get a tent in Central park to do the same), close to English Garden and surrounded by the nice cafes and bookstores. I was envious as Frank said when he was not working full time he readed papers and books in the café in a normal day which we all rushed to the office or stuck in the traffic……..I could put him in the picture now and it was indeed nice ambience as he told…………The EMBA Shanghai born babygirl has turned into an extremely active lovely creature, she needs attention all the time and do not let people slid away from the full attention of her. I was so positvely surprised by her energy and smile, fall in love with her immediately and I told Frank” u must love her more as dady is closer to the daughter, on top of that she is just incredible cute and hiper!”. As a father I guess Frank could not comment much but he is indeed in love with his kids so much which I feel so strongly over the time, it grows!
We were all excited by the Octofest and Guimar has kindly offered me a very bavarian dress of her, it fitted well………..
I had the least photos of Frank during the expedition as he was so busy to make sure everything in order and took care of the group. He brought a lot of his connections and friends whom we liked very much; we spend a fantastic time in Octofest which Ray still ranked as the best moment of his expedition; I was not drinking but liked the dancing and fun part of the group intimacy.Frank and Florian were good buddy to demonstrate a well orgnaized german style expedition by combining a typical German fiesta. I had a nice photo of both Frank and Florian was discussing matters when we had our knowledge fair in Frank friend hotel……..have to find it……
Frank have a few nice friends he met often to have some discussion or drink, he seemed so happy with the life how it was in Munich even I always wondered if he would settle jus with what he was doing for the career. We had a nice run in English Gargen one of the mornings, we went quite a big round and he showed me where the son goes to the forest school: such an exotic thing for me but this is from Frank I am not surprised and he talked about how the parents managed the school and how he would like his kids grow: in the nature and be happy…………so touching!!!
Frank was a bit emotional in the closing remark and he was concerned EMBA expedtion would not go on as enthusiams to orgnzie next one was not high. I was ok with the thought to organize it in New York but wanted to consult Ray first before comitting it and we all agreed on to run a survey for next destination.
We were a bit embassed that we did not get the gift ready for them and rememberd the last breakfast with Beat and Vanessa (when Beat was “surprised” there is no muesli….), Beat was kind to offer organizing something for them which he did, a nice puzzle to figure out the spa package:+), smart!
New York Expedition 2011
During the preparation of NewYork Expedition we asked Munich committee many input and Frank/Florian have been very helpful to prepare us. Frank came to the city from time to time we chatted over and over and was happy to know Guimar would join in us as well.
Both Ray and myself were thinking Frank should be the photographer since he is good at and also he is always go-to person when we need a hand! He is so qualified and we still have the best photos taken by him and complemented by me:+)
A sunshine New York morning we kicked off our session in Ray’s office, with the song “The Empire of NewYork” Alicia Key………so much truth about the city we love.
We had great time together,no matter the business matter or the fun part: the lincoln center visit with the introduction on how the corporation works within the scope of NGOs, the subgroup visit to galleries and culture routes, Frank shot the lovely dog with the shoes:+); the nice breakfast together with all the healthy stuff Frank was so up to….the dance in Cielo with the most bizzard people around but so NewYork like, Yogesh and Frank again danced in the floor like the time we were inLausanne time,just like the way they hung out together with good energy level, not next day showing up looking older:+).
I was impressed when Guimar decided to walk to Whitney museum from Soho, good for her! Saturday when we had our walking tour guided by Ray, Frank and Guimar came to breakfast late then decided to go on their schedule and did not come to Sunday breakfast in my place, Frank said “he wants to spend some private time togeher with Guimar”…….
The Saturday eve cooking night is our big night of social event, Frank took his strength which was photographing and kind of cooking, some great photos not only the nice crowds but also the beautiful setting of the plates, well done! Somehow he did not joining us last night dancing and I was laughing at him getting old:+), Cielo nigh was a long night for the guys obviously……….
We liked the fact this time we had a few family members being part of the program and everytime we know each other better, we are closer as a bigger family…........it is a nicefamily!
Frank Visiting New York 2010-2012
I was more than happy having Frank coming to the city, which means the three gangs would hang out together. Even we have our leadership buddies group, Ray, Frank and myself had developed a very strong bound and friendship more after EMBA. When Ray and myself drove to the suburb for hiking in the car we would call Frank to tell him how we wished he would be around; we talked about him often and both agreed on one thing for sure” Frank is enjoying life and having good time”. We had the impression that Frank had many holidays………….
Frank is the person we can talk so many things, personal,family, professional even some very private matters which I rarely share with anybody else. Somehow he is always the right person knowing how to ask questions and how to explain the whys…….he is very open about himself and his ideology: he loves all the nice things in life, he wants to live life in fullness, he loves the family and wants to spend more time with them, more and more; he wants to have a career with recognition，this is so important for him；He works hard to perfectionism which we talked about it, knowing it was stressful and hard but he had good reason to do so and could not change it. He talked about moving to San Francisco we were allso excited about the news as it means we would be closer, not that much but in one continent it seems we would be closer, he promised Ray and myself a guestroom when we visited, a sailing trip when we would be there; a trip to Seville where he spent a lot of holiday time with the family, we had so much plans but we had so much fun time also.
We were in the Oyster bar after walking around Bleeker street in a beautiful sunshine autumn day, he strongly encouraged me to have a champagne with him which I was not drinking since Marathon, but so difficult to refuse Frank and also his enthusiasm is always influential. I did even did notfinish it……….
We love Highline and feel it shows good spirit of New York.We jogged in Central Park and he suggested me to run in the mud ground not on the concrete by saying “no wonder u have kneel problem” I was not very happy with that!!! :+). We had nice muesli breakfast in my sunshine apartment………
Frank always tried to do something for his friend as he stayed in their lovely loft in Soho: which I always wonder why he had quite some wonderful friends and seems one point in Thailand with another friend family and Yogesh family together to celebrate New year!Another friend family in Utah or San Francisco that having some wonderful hiking trips.
We went to the show Fuerz B where has this amazing crazy guy running in the stage with a fearless spirit and swimming ladies in a watering curtain on top of our head, dancing, how weird and how crazy, how wonderful of New York, our youth and our energy!!! We went to see Rockfeller Christmas tree and the shining stars were a good sign for our coming year wishes……..
Three gangs had nice time in Whitney museum and both guys were spending more time than me to examine the photographs and we had our nice lunch in Soho which as always, Frank would recommend me to share something exotic with him and it always turns out something strange for me but he seems enjoy it:+).
Frank loves his cocktail in a nice lounge so we explored quite some nice lounges in the city, even I was not drinking but what matters is the time with good friend. We talked about how we spent our time with friends visiting and Frank was saying that he always needs to balance between the time with the family or doing something what friends would like to do, I can see the points that how much he desired to spend time with Guimar and kids.
One evening we walked along the east village to explore the telephone bar and secret lounge, we had a talk about the dramatic change that he would not move to San Francisco. By knowing how much he loves Munich and Guimar has a great job and pension there,the family is ready for the change. It was struggle for him I know and must create quite some stress for him and family as well. We talked about how we should evaluate ourselves without being judged by the others and we should never let ourselves down by others comment, I was telling him how I struggled when moving to US with the challenges of self-evaluation.It was a late evening talk and my friend was not like the Frank I know of but it is a very heart-to-heart discussion which I cherished very much…….
2012 is a year we did not see each other as often as we would like, Frank was in New York in July when I was in Colombia and he was in Utah having some good time with the family and met Morgan family. I heard good things about the trip and saw the photos he posted on facebook; he promoted facebook a lot and suggested me(again:+) to use it more often, which I did follow up on his news more and I like to see the family photos that kids are growing so fast: what a sporty family!
We talked about the Moscow expedition when Frank was in Boston travelling, he called and talked with such a joy: I am in the fisherman wharf having a good time, nice weather, oyster and such a beautiful life………the job and happiness and the fullness of enjoying life ran through the phone whichI feel the impact!!! Frank enjoys life in its fullness and he is doing the best to appreciate every moment of life! Iwas hoping he would join in the expedition but he was hesitating by saying he had to balance the time spent one week with family doing something fun or went to the expedition which he thought not well prepared. He was making reasonable point and family time means a lot for him. Our last email was during Xmas time which I was wondering how he was doing, he said due to the budget cut he didnot come to New York often but in a way it was good that he could spend more time with the family…………it is very sweet………..
I would like to keep the memory as sweet as it can be, Frank always wants to have an extraordinary life which he has in his way to appreciate the beauty of life and its joy; he surprised us in many ways, until the last moment; I would not be surprised by any dramatic things he would do and he would bring, up to this moment………….and forever…………
