一、强调句构成公式
强调句的学习只需要牢记一个识别公式即可。
It is A that/who...
注意：A 为强调部分（可以是单词、短语或者句子），that 可以指人，也可以指物，但是 who 只能指人。
在写作时，使用 that 更为保险。 所以句型就是：It is... that...
举例 1 ：
我昨天在商场遇到了铁锤。
I met Tiechui at the shopping mall yesterday.
下列翻译对吗？
① 就是我昨天在商场遇到了铁锤。
【翻译】It is me that met Tiechuiat at the shopping mall yesterday.
② 就是在昨天我在商场遇到了铁锤。
【翻译】It is yesterday that I met Tiechui at the shopping mall.
①和②的翻译都不对
正确写法为：
① 就是我昨天在商场遇到了铁锤。
【正确】It was I that met Tiechuiat at the shopping mall yesterday.
② 就是在昨天我在商场遇到了铁锤。
【正确】It was yesterday that I met Tiechui at the shopping mall .
过去时态写成It was。和过去有关的写成It was，和过去没关的都写成It is，即将来时也是写成It is。
小结：区分强调句和主语从句
判断方法很简单，只需要把 It is... that... 去掉即可。
如果去掉后句子成分依然完整的话，就是强调句；
如果去掉后句子成分残缺，就是主语从句。
举例 ：
① It is exciting that we have succeeded in sending up Shenzhou-13. 我们成功地发射了神舟 13 号这件事情真令人兴奋。
去掉 It is... that... 后，句子变成：
Exciting we have succeeded in sending up Shenzhou-13.
显然句子不正确， 所以这个 it 是一个形式主语，而真正的主语是后面的 that 从句，即主语从句。
② It is undoubtedly that reading books can broaden the horizon of readers.
去掉 It is... that... 后，句子变成：
Undoubtedly，reading books can broaden the horizon of readers.
显然句子是完成正确的，那这个就是强调句型。
二、强调句应用
1. 写作
举例：
① 最近我重读这些世界名著时，我开始欣赏到了它们的美。
When I reread these world -famous masterpieces recently，I began to appreciate their beauty.
强调句改写：直到最近我重读这些世界名著时，我才开始欣赏它们的美。（强调状语）
It was when I reread these world -famous masterpieces recently that I began to appreciate their beauty.
举例：
② 人类活动导致了全球变暖。
Human activities caused global warming.
强调句改写：正是人类活动导致了全球变暖。
It is human activities that caused global warming. （强调主语）
③ 随着时间的推移，丝绸之路逐渐变成了一条连接东西方的主要道路，促进了东西方的经济文化交流。
找到汉语主干：丝绸之路逐渐变成了一条主要道路。
The Silk Road gradually became a main road connecting the East and the West.
强调主语“丝绸之路”，改写为：
It was the Silk Road that gradually became a main road connecting the East and the West.
③ 随着时间的推移，丝绸之路逐渐变成了一条连接东西方的主要道路，促进了东西方的经济文化交流。
As time went by, it was the Silk Road that gradually became a main road connecting the East and the West, promoting the economic and cultural exchanges between the two parties.
2. 长难句分析
举例：
① Charles ought to know that as English history shows, it is kings, not republicans, who are the monarchy’s worst enemies.
【翻译】查尔斯应该了解，正如英国历史所展示的，君主制最糟糕的敌人是君主，而非共和党人。
② Perhaps it is humankind’s long suffering at the mercy of flood and drought that makes the idea of forcing the waters to do our bidding so fascinating.
【翻译】可能正是因为人类长期遭受旱涝灾害的摆布，才使得人类对于治理江河、使其听从我们调遣的想法如此痴迷。
③Thus, in the American economic system，it is the demand of individual consumers, coupled with the desire of businessmen to maximize profits and the desire of individuals to maximize their incomes that together determine what shall be produced and how resources are used to produce it.
