Constrction grammar is annoying.
the first reason is that the prensention of it is so confusing. the speaker tries every effort to pesent the hardest theories about it rather than just elaborate and speak frankly about it. And the one who gives comment on the presentation carries a confusing point of view. They think that the deeper and the more you talk the better you are.
In fact I hardly get the meaning of the presentaion in the past half year. I donn't buy it that most classmates are just thrumb through it and ignore it as it didn't exist. that's sad.
Wagging the traditional point of that languge is a system consists of many levels of structure, the comstrction grammar tries to treat language as a construction as parings of meaning and forms that stored human memory and specified with regard to semantic, syntactic and pragmatic structure,

For example, those verbs that don't suggest a caused-motion meaning.

the other example is the trransitive-causing verbs distinguished from the sense of central intransitive meaning of verbs like sit and stand. She stand the flower-pot on the window-still.
