Today is the second day in Chinese Lunar New Year. This year is the year of rooster. I learned a few days ago that how to say Chinese zodiac in English. Mouse, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog and pig represent the twelve zodiac. So the animal of a year is the same with the animal of the year before twelve year.
I remember the rooster year before the last rooster year. It is 1993. It is the last year of my learning at middle school. I became a college student and many things happened in that year. I can remember one of my favorite singer, the lead singer of Beyond, Ka Kui Huang, died. When I knew that shocked message, I was doing exercises with my friends on the playground in middle school. We couldn't believe that. A few of students burst into crying. I didn't cry but I also felt deeply sad.And another heartbreaking message is China failed in bidding for the Olympics. The great disappointment flowed throughout the whole China. Are there any sweet memories of that year? Maybe the glory of Majiajun was, but it was proved to be a scandal later.
Although the 1993 has passed for 24 years and there were many bad things happened in that year, I wish I could go back to that year by the time machine. Because I could see my first love in 1993.
