When I see this, of course, sometimes I feel happy, which can trigger emotions such as joy, anger, sadness, and happiness. But what is his true nature? The method of non action, because its true nature is not presented to all concrete existence, not to the human eye. People cannot see its true nature. If you are colorblind, what you see is not true nature. If a dog sees the world, it is not true nature. Who is it?
In Chinese, it is said that you open the eyes of heaven and the eyes of Buddha. Of course, that is just a metaphorical term. At that time, when you saw it, you saw its true nature. At that time, Buddhism was about dependent origination and emptiness. This is the explanation of all existence in the world by Yogacara, including the distinction between action and non action, the distinction between color and mind, the division of the mind within the mind, the state and position of the mind.
Someone said it's over, he's even more troublesome than that. Where else is the trouble?
It is a phenomenon of consciousness, for example, when I have a thought that I want to see you, or I want to listen to you, or simply put, when I think of someone in my consciousness, this is called the rise of a thought. The rise of one thought is called manifestation consciousness, the consciousness that is currently being presented. When studying philosophy, sometimes you need to do your own analysis. For example, in our daily lives, emotions such as joy, anger, sadness, and happiness, our consciousness and thoughts may seem to arise from our thoughts, but the current thought is called manifestation of consciousness. Have you ever wondered where your current consciousness comes from?
For example, when I suddenly think of someone, what do I hear again? Have you ever thought about why this idea came about?
I don't think much about this as an ordinary person. For example, in materialism, it needs to be said that this is a reflection of the objective world. When I see you, it's because there is an objective you there that makes me subjectively feel it. This is called reaction theory. However, Buddhism has its own set of methods, and it does not acknowledge these methods. It says that having an objective version of you alone is not enough to generate such a thought in my mind.
Some people say that my current thought doesn't require a materialistic reflection. Can you explain where my current thought comes from? It was my past thoughts that pulled it out. People live in a stream of consciousness for their entire lives, and there is a saying that it is a stream of consciousness. One thought after another, if we don't have a thought, you will die. If we really don't have a thought, we will die. We always have a thought of the mind. Some people say that I fainted, and your subconscious is still very busy. When you sleep at night, you dream non-stop, but can you remember? If you don't even dream, then you can't live.
Where does this thought come from?
Some people say it was pulled out of past thoughts. The theory of Yogacara divides the structure of human consciousness into present consciousness and seed, which is one of its contributions, that is, where do our thoughts come from?
It is neither stimulated by the objective world nor pulled out by our previous thoughts, but behind our thoughts lies a sea of consciousness, a deep existence of consciousness, countless seeds of consciousness that sprout whenever suitable conditions are met.
I can see you, for example, if I see you as a person, based on what circumstances, I have been exposed to emotions such as joy, anger, sadness, and happiness since childhood. If I grew up in the deep mountains, seeing a person is no different from seeing a tree, and there must be an inner seed as a cause and effect. I have to say that because Xiong Shili is built on this foundation, it changes at the core. Where do all our thoughts come from?
Come out from the seed within you. For example, when I teach you today, I plant a philosophical seed in your mind. Whether you are happy or unlucky in the future, there is no other way. If you happen to meet me and can't escape, I will plant this seed in your mind. One day when you reach the age of 50 to 60, you may suddenly remember this thing, which is called a seed. I think this is credible. Human thoughts are not immediate, and when I see you, I immediately react. In that case, humans are primitive animals and not the previous thoughts. If the teacher's previous thoughts do not change from one thought to another, then humans are just unconscious beings?
This must have a deep storage, continuous accumulation. For example, Freud's concept of survival consciousness was used to treat people's illnesses. I sometimes think that those of us who study philosophy are also treating our own illnesses. I have a personal experience that I always dream, but 80% of what I do is from the age of six when I was in primary school to the age of 14 when I graduated from junior high school and went to a normal school. It was eight or nine years in between. Before the age of six, I completely forgot and couldn't remember, it was too deep!
I need to find that hypnotherapist, maybe I can get some stimulation, but I can't remember it in my own dreams. I've been very busy since I was 14 years old, and these are basically not very stimulating. This seed is too weak. Unfortunately, the seeds between the ages of 6-14 sprout repeatedly, and as long as there is a little stimulation during the day, they will have that dream at night. Always returning to our hometown village, hometown houses, and the people and things in our hometown.
I said that since watching Weishi, I think it's pretty good. I can also be considered as a psychological dissection for myself. I have been writing on my blog recently, but I started writing at the age of 14. After finishing this, I started writing at the age of six. This way, I have been adjusting my psychology. I think the seed of survival advocated by Yogacara is reasonable.
If we only talk about this place, Yogacara is to some extent a psychological science, and can even be used as a reference for many psychological phenomenologies today. I don't know if Freud had read Yogacara, but people like Schopenhauer were deeply influenced. Freud's disciples, such as Adler, and later Jung, not only talked about the seed of the individual, the seed of experience, but also the seed of racial inheritance, which is the Arya consciousness of Buddhism, that seed.
Where do these thoughts come from now?
There are many seeds accumulated from my past experiences, some of which are not only accumulated in my lifetime, but also the accumulation of racial consciousness. Sometimes I joke, maybe when I was a crocodile 30 million years ago, the seeds were already buried in my seed warehouse today. In Buddhism, this seed warehouse is called Alai Yashi, and he said ten thousand words, which is his Tai Chi.
The entire Yogacara is based on this foundation. Seed and current are in one point. If we talk about this place, I think it's still psychological science. Of course, it's still a bit uncertain. Where did your seeds come from? If it's just the accumulation I had when I was young, you can understand. If it's the unconscious of race, then it's troublesome. If there are still causes and conditions that can be reincarnated in Buddhism to your past life, then it's hard to say.
Not only does it have this kind of accumulation, but it is also a seed that is innate, a result of postnatal accumulation, and a seed of innate inaction. The day after tomorrow, we call this the seed of cultivation. Each of us has innate nature, and all existence has Buddha nature. Knowledge requires basic beliefs, but this is the seed of non action, existing in your Alaya consciousness. Of course, this seed contains impurities and impurities, which makes it complicated.
So, when will we be able to break free from the Tao of non action, and we will continue to practice all good deeds and refrain from doing all evil deeds. Transform our consciousness, constantly transform our current one thought consciousness, and wash away all the seeds within, the boundless warehouse of Alaya consciousness. At that time, we will call it 'Transforming Knowledge into Wisdom Success'. The seed of non action suddenly appears at that moment. It is not presented on its own, but after we remove its external things, it returns to its true self. This is the law of non action.
Everyone, look at this structure. The color method is based on the mind method and the position method. The mind method is based on consciousness, while consciousness is based on the seed. The non action method is based on the result of washing the seed clean.
So, where is the ultimate root?
It's a seed. The large warehouse composed of seeds has been wrapped together by Alaya Shi. So, Buddhist Yogacara is called Universal Yogacara. We Chinese people like simplicity. We are all law minded. All existence is realized with one mind. It is over.
It sounds very satisfying, but in fact, it is a complex logical structure of speculation, with layers of deduction inside, and it is not mysterious in any way. Only in the final seed, after transformation through cultivation, when suddenly clarified, completely clarified, and suddenly enlightened, is that moment mysterious, while everything else can be discussed and is very rational.
The mutual influence of color, mind, and technique, and the continuous transformation of consciousness into wisdom in the seeds of mind and technique after being influenced, is a very logical and reasonable idea. However, only in the end can we continue to wash ourselves away. For example, if someone cultivates themselves every day, not only does this matter rest, but also many things need to be done, because when it comes to reincarnation, like Xuanzang, there are many lifetimes, and one day they will be clarified. At that time, it is mysterious, and everything else is a psychological science.
This is the basic structure of Yogacara, but when I talk about it, you may already know one of the biggest problems of Yogacara. It emphasizes rationality and constant pushing, but the seed and reality must be washed away through postnatal cultivation. Innate non action is inherent, and the seed of Buddha nature is in you, but it never works. It is the method of non action, otherwise it is not called the method of non action. What is active is the seed of postnatal cultivation. Whoever I rely on for cultivation, self cultivation, where does the power of self cultivation come from, is my original seed. Therefore, in the end, he can only rely on encountering a good knowledge, encountering Buddha, or not encountering Buddha. We encounter Buddhist scriptures, and we rely on it. This external influence.
So, this was buried, and later on, Chinese Buddhism was very dissatisfied with him, including the dissatisfaction of the Xiong faction with Yogacara. Where is the dissatisfaction?
Right here. I will now turn back and show you the five hundred methods that I used language to express earlier. All phenomena are divided into five categories, which are further subdivided into two categories. However, the ultimate basis for all of this is "knowledge". But this consciousness is not your present thought, and of course, the present thought can also be said to be included in it, but there is a deep structure.
