President: Hello, Sam. You wanted to see me?
Sam: Yes. I wanted to talk to you about starting some new school clubs.
President: OK, Sam. Have you asked other students what kinds of clubs they would like?
Sam: Yes. I spent the whole week conducting surveys and now I have the results.
President: Tell me about them.
Sam: Well, firstly, sports clubs. We already have football, tennis and basketball clubs.
Sam: I asked students to suggest other sports. Twenty-three percent of students would like a Volleyball Club, thirty-seven percent said a Table Tennis Club and forty percent would like a Yoga Club.
President: A Yoga Club? Who would teach the classes?
Sam: I spoke to Ms. Brown, our Art teacher who practises yoga.
Sam: She said she would teach a class once a week.
President: I think that's a great idea.
Sam: And for other clubs, I asked students choose between a Book Club, a Film Club and a Volunteer Club.
President: What would the Volunteer Club do?
Sam: Students would give three hours a week to help out in the local area, for example, helping elderly people.
President: So what were the results?
Sam: Twenty-four per cent of students said the Book Club; Twenty-nine per cent the Film Club; and forty-seven per cent said they would like the Volunteer Club.
President: Wonderful, so this year we have two interesting new clubs.
