BOOK13《My personal best》

The greatest thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.

Don't try to be better than somebody else, but never cease trying to be the best you can be.

----Joshua Wooden(John Wooden's father)

Try your hardest. Make the effort. Do your best.

Do your best, that is success.

Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.

the star of the team is the team

It's very difficult to antagonize and teach at the same time.

Little things done well is probably the greatest secret to success.

Sloppiness in one area breeds sloppiness in another.

If you do enough small things right, big things can happen.

The formula I used to teach this is uncomplicated: explanation, demonstration, imitation---correction, where necessary---and then repetition, repetition, repetition, and more repetition.

Planning the practice took longer than the practice itself.

The stength of the pack is the wolf and the strngth of the wolf is the pack.

A coach is a teacher and one of the most important lessons to be taught is that players are successful when they do their best---even when the final score goes against them.

Scoring is the by-product of something much more important: effort.

When you put forth your best effort, you can hold your head high regardless of the by-product called 'the final score.'

No two individuals under our supervision are alike and shouldn't be treated as if they were.
