Better and Better Day 47
“ Experience is not what happens to a man. It is what a man does with what happens to him ”, says Huxley, the author of Brave New World. The truth is that if you can’t learn lessons from experiences, that the experiences will be useless. It’s easy to say that one can learn from another, but once there there is luck, it is very difficult to practice deliberately. In life, as long as the relationship between certain operations and rewards is fixed, we can quickly adapt to it. But if the relationship becomes random, we will be at a loss. In the face of randomness, we are unable to establish connections between actions and out comes. Once there is luck, it is hard to think of lessons.
