Firstly, the world-formation really helps a lot in analyzing the word，especially affixation, which contains prefix and suffix and both have their special functions.In generally， prefix changes the meaning while suffix changes the world class. However, there is exception — "en"，"be"， "a" are prefix but they change word class; " less" changes both meaning and word class . From my perspective, affixation is the key to decipher codes of words like the skill of a spy. Unveiling the affixation and memorizing its function,we can not only guess unknown words，but also create a new one.Wasn't it exhilariting and charming ? What's more,the words inclines to cling to other words to form a new one. If we see through this magic and grasp the true meaning of the words like Having Sherlock Holmes' outstanding skills and machine-like brain.
Secondly, the pragmatic meaning of the word is favorable when we turn to pratical account,such as reading a original English book. Everyone can know the linguistic meaning if he learned the language，but only the one who has immersed in the context and has a sensitive heart can know the true feelings and emotions hid in words and strike the same cord with the aforesaid. The pragmatic meaning has its subjective experientially an this characteristic can apply to the impact of Chinese famous poems towards Chinese cognition. For example， the "moon" presents the longing for homeland and for family's reunion. The poem the Longing in a Quiet Night by Libai is so household that when we see the moon，we will unconsciously recite this famous poem. Like a man has his kin， a language also has its cousin.English belongs to West Germanic sub-group，Germanic group,Indo-European family.Knowing the kinship among the many languages，we can choose the language which is similar to English as our third language，because it is easier for us to learn than that not belongs to the same family.
English Lexicology is worthy for us to explore deep,and only in this way can we explain the strange phenomenon in English but so common to our bored eyes to perceive and research.
