That was the day to go home. For four and a half months I had always been "out", Finally it was my turn to be back "in".
It started from the sunshine that came in my hotel room through the windows. Normally I wouldn't be waken by almost anything except an alarm, but that day was a little different-- the first time was at 7am, then 8am, I keep waking up and returning to my dreams because my alarm was at 10am. I gave up after trying for the fourth time, at 9:30, I got up.
Whenever I'm about to face a big change in my life routine, I try to be as calm as possible. Because emotions tend to make ourselves lose control, and I like controlling. I opened Wangyiyun Music on my phone, took off my long johns, got ready for a morning shower, which can always bring me fresh energy. "Today, I do everything in a leisurely manner."
After shower, I packed my stuff and checked out. I walked to the glass door of the hotel, pushed it open, just as I was about to cross that line, I closed it. I came back to the lobby, put down my package and sat in the sofa, then I took out my phone and booked a Didi. My original plan was subway, but just finishing nine days of hard work, I deserved a treat.
To my surprise, it was a taxi, the real taxi in Shanghai, which I would never take because of its price. Every time I would just order a Didi or Uber, even though that means waiting for a few minutes. "Today must be my lucky day," I thought, a good ride matching nice weather, plus brilliant air quality!
Eventually my two whole boxes of laughing gas(a new bar fun) was confiscated by the airport, and my plane got delayed for three hours.
