take advantage of sth. = 充分利用（机会、产品服务等）
take advantage of sb. = 利用某人，占某人的便宜
He's taking advantage of you and your money!
他在利用你，占你的便宜。
创新可以增强我们在职场的竞争力。
Being innovative and creative at work has become the key to achieving success.
机器已经开始抢我们的工作了。
Maybe in the future,cashiers won't even exist.
So to stay competitive at work,we need to be innovative and creative.

1.the search for the testing of new technologies
2.the creation and use of new paths to search the company's goals' the use of new work-methods and the acquistion of resources to realize ideas
创新主要在“新”：

new paths
new work-methods
提高创新能力的一种途径是cross-training
cross-training = 交叉训练
crossover = 跨界
具有多领域工作的技能对于创新说非常重要。
If you can do multiple jobs,you will have more career opportunities down the road.

1.2 要坚持诚信为本
The company takes great pride in being honest with its customers.
take great pride in = be pround of = 为......感到骄傲
除此之外，还可以用pride oneself on sth./doing sth.
dedication = 奉献、贡献
领导在组员完成任务时可以这样夸赞组员：
Thank you for your hard work. It is your dedication and commitment that make us best.
有担当的人才能被信赖
People who keep their promises and never blame others for their own faults are trustworthy.
shift the blame = 甩锅
He wants to shift the blame and find a sacrificial lamb.
他想甩锅给一个替罪羊。
take the blame for others = bear the blame for others = suffer from the blame for others = 背锅
1.3 创建良好的声誉
develop a great reputation = 发展好的名声
develop a great reputation for sth. = 获得了......的好名声
infrmous/notorious = 臭名昭著
word-of-mouth approach = 口口相传
For example:
It's word-of-mouth approach to advertising has been cost-effective.
cost-effective = 节约成本
and counting = 持续增长；持续变化

Everything you do plays a role in building your brand,whether it's greeting your coworkers with a hearty hello or being the go-to person on your team.
先认清自己，为自己这个品牌做个正确的定位
Take the time to think about what your biggest strengths are,where your passion areas are and what makes you unique.
个人品牌定位的实用词汇
collaborative
resourceful = 足智多谋的；机智的；办法多的
flexible = 适应能力强的
forward-thinking = 有前瞻性的

diplomatic = 有手腕的，讲究策略的

个人品牌定位完毕，接着要去塑造自己的形象
This means actively seeking the right opportunities to showcase your talents in the best way possible.

Socaial media presents a perfect platform tou biuld a personal brand.
Especially LinkedIn,headunters may search for you there.
headhunter = 猎头
burn bridges = 断了后路
manager your time and resource well
不要自断后路，一言一行都很重要
要言行一致，不要打脸
The way to maintain your peronal brand is consistency.
bill ... as = 宣传
bill yourself as a go-to person = 把自己包装成一个got-to person
能力强，有责任心，出了问题大家都回去找TA帮忙，或向TA请教的这类人，称为go-to person

A mentor offers you the benefit of their experience and connections.
mentor并不一定是某个领域的专家，能够给你提供建议的人，都可以做你的mentor
It could be your leader,an expert in your industry,your colleagues,friends,friends of your friends,etc.
有时候，在我们没有意识到的时候，已经有人充当了mentor的角色。
The word "mentor" never needs to be uttered.
The relationship is more important than te label.
每次和mentor建模，要珍惜对方的时间
When you meet your mentor,be prepared and stay focused. Make sure that any time spent is as useufl,effective,and beneficial as possible.
