I have read a book called "The Ickabog". My favorite part was (the ending) when they found out the Ickabog eats mushrooms instead of humans and renamed a town called Cornocopia into Ickaby at the end of story. I love that part because they found out the Ickabog actually not harmful to their country and started acting kinder towards it.
I also read a book called " The Emperor's New Clothes", my favorite part in that book was (the scene) when everyone watching in a parade, realized that the emperor was naked !
The Ickabog and The Emperor's New Clothes have some similarity as well as differences. Here is how they are similar:
1. The emperors in both stories both love (care) clothes.
2. The villains in both stories always trick (force) the good guys into doing what they want, which usually ends up with the villains getting money (and power)
3. Both have good guys who (are brave enough to) tell the truth;
4. Both stories have a parade, I guess that is a common celebration back to the kingdom time;
Here is how they are different of course:
1. One has a monster but the other doesn't, ( the monster is the mystery key leading the reader to continue to read next, next and next chapter )
2. The Ickabog has more plots than the other story. This makes The Ickabog more interesting and attractive to read
I know they both are fairy tales because they both have :
-once upon a time and happily ever after
-bad and good guys
-plot, problem and resolution
-good guys always win at the end
