STORY
Stories are very important.
When you say once upon a time, people will stop and listen.
Tell a good story can change the person and even the world.
Story is one thing that we mastered. The two key elements are structure and deliver.
Structure, the way we structure a story is like giving a mood to the story. Just like a house, a story can be structured in many ways.
Deliver, how you deliver a story is like how to paint a house.
STRUCTURE
• The Message
If you deliver a speech, and five people give you five answers, you got no message.
People may laugh, but connecting with audience does not mean that you deliver a message.
If you don't have a message, the audience will make a message for you. As a leader, salesman, entrepreneur - that's bad.
What is my message? short and sweet - less than ten words and rhyming it.
People remember(short) and recall(sweet).
As a speaker, we write and rewrite the message, till it’s short and sweet.
Learn before you earn.
Fake it till you make it.
Happy wife, happy life.
You need to have a short and sweet message, no matter how deep your speech is – a 7 years should understand it.
• Capture the audience
20-45 seconds. if they don't know what you do, you lost your audience.
A good speaker need to present it your message in 20-45 seconds.
1. Direct tell your audience why you are here (but it is not interesting)

• How to sell?
Framing. (frame help the picture to pop up, to frame the problem.) set the tone for the whole speech, only sell the problem.
1.FRAME
How to frame.
1. tell a story and ask 3 questions.
2. poem and ask 3 questions.
3.statement and ask 3 questions.
4. quotation and ask 3 questions.
Don't need whole story, massive information.
Structure made it stand out.
Example:The champion’s speech.
2.FAIL-MAKE THE PROBLEM YOUR PROBLEM.
A good story teller need to tell the audience his failure. Because audience connect within failure and success scares people.
Your rock bottom is the moment to connect with the audience.
3.THE SOLUTION.
You find a solution, and that could be your key message.
4. APPLY (AND IT HAD TO BE RELASTIC)
Got a solution, applied and failed.
5.VICTORY.
Your key message gives you.
6.ENDING (END THE SAME WAY YOU START)
Recall
1.linear- different to the beginning.
2.circular effect- start with half a story, end with half a story- connected.
A simple story can be amazing if you have the structure.
DELIVER
Start from the minute you walk on the stage; your audience will judge you. You need to expand your body.
A professional speaker holds his sound for 4 seconds. Scan the audience back to left- left to back and center.
A speaker position-lean forward.
People judge the confident from the line of your body.
Open palm gesture, more effective
the precision grasp- emphasize, statement of confidence, fact, statistic-statement.
palm over heart- personal connection- my me mine I
double palms- we us team- connection, togetherness.
Pray gesture- asking something from the audience.
