Today is Thursday.
Amelia and her parents were fortunately the one-million visitors of the town. The mayor gave them a big key and asked them how they went there. Her dad told him they were off the beaten track, which means they were away from the frequently traveled routes. The mayor gave them another key of cabin near a lake and told them the only thing they could be sick of there was relaxing. Her mom said, "Sold!"
On their way to the lake, Amelia's dad told her that he had caught a big fish and show her the size. Her mother laughed and said that it had been half the size when she first met him and it became bigger and bigger every year. They bought some staples in a grocery store and got to the cabin. A neighbor, Doc, came to say hello to them and told Amelia that his grandgirl, Audrey, would like to teach her to fish. They drove a boat to look for the girl who was doing fishing. And Doc wished Amelia to get her feet wet, which means to get a little first-time experience with something.
