I like thing made by hand but I did not collect them. Handcrafts are beautiful, colorful, and diaphanous, such as paper cutting, clip art, clay model, doodle and sand painting. I like Chinese paper-cuttings very much. People often use Chinese paper-cuttings for decoration such as ornament widows, walls, doors and so on.
I never took handcrafts lesson at school, but my child takes the lesson at the kindergarten.
On mother’s day, to my surprise, He sent me a clip art card as the gift. There was a red heart cutting by hand in the middle of the card and a warm sentence “I love you!” on the red hart. Sometimes he may take some clay models back home, such as bee, duck, carrot and so on. He said that they were made by himself.
Children should learn more about handcrafts. First ,making things by hand is more interesting and can build up muscles that necessary. Second, child making things by hand can improve their imagination and create more unbelievable things. Third, handcrafts are meaningful activities for children playing with their parents.
