Biden is different from previous US presidents. During his term, President Donald Trump garnered more attention in part due to Trump’s impeachment, in part because the GOP infighting him. And republican was forcing GOP lawmakers o choose sides, and burn their bridge with Trump. With republicans are busy squabbling among them, Biden was moving on his agenda. However, Trump was also grappled with the lasting impact of his presidency. He was sued or investigated by three different organizations about some aspects, including New York attorney general investigated his business dealings, Georgia’s prosecutors received his efforts to cajole election officials, and the NAACP charged him for violating civil rights protections. Biden, never much of a press hound, was happy to let Trump take the headlines. But he needs America’s buy-in for his more ambitious proposals. He may soon find Trump’s lasting influence and is trying to take back the spotlight.
