Prosthetic : an artificial device that replaces a missing body part
Scientists researched the technology of receiving sensations from artificial limbs using implanted electrodes to stimulate the patient's brain.
The experiment began with modeling the pattern of blood flow and magnetic fields created by the brain's electrical activity when the patient was imagining sensations from his hand.
After studying the pattern, scientists stimulated the electrodes to create similar sensations. Lastly, the patient wore an artificial hand equipped with sensors and feedback about accuracy was overall good.
Some incompetencies about this technology :
1) not the entire hand is covered yet
2) precision of the area that sends the sensation feedback
After reading the article, I am marvelled by God's creation. Each part of our body is a miracle.
2. Italy's five star movement.
This article introduced the background of how M5S was founded, with a pinch of emphasis on the challenges that have surfaced:
1) its ambiguity in taking sides on political stands;
2) its idealism of direct democracy through ongoingly rebalancing powers;
3) internal clashes over policies that lead the country to nowhere under anarchy.
My view is: if it was meant for a joke in the beginning, then let it remain a joke in all seriousness.
