Comparing with fleeting business visits to European countries in the last eight years since I worked as a professional in international education sector fresh from postgraduate study, my stay in Britain has witnessed that my English language skills has been honed, and my understanding about and vision of the world has been reshaped. This experience will surely act as a catalyst for progression in both my career, academic research and life. This report outlines my personal reflection on learning experience at the English Language Centre of the University of Liverpool. I am convinced that ELC is one of crown jewels of the UoL’s internationalisation and teaching excellence.
