Three years ago, I was so tired of my routine life of going to work and watching tv shows. I could see through the rest of my life. One day, I couldn't bear it anymore. So I told my wife about my feelings. She advised me, “Whenever you have nothing to do, just learn English.” Good idea!
So I tried to find a way to learn English. For vocabulary, I could learn it by myself, there were a lot of vocabulary building apps. But for speaking, I couldn't learn it by myself. It's weird to talk to my self. So I decided to get an English training course.
You don't know how poor you are until you are going to buy a house or buy an English course. Just look at sales for the English course on the street, how crazy they are!
"Sir, you must learn English if you want to have a future!" “We have the mortgage for training fee! You can repay it every month!”
Just like buying a house, they both have a mortgage!
But how about buying a second-hand course? As far as I knew，a lot of people can't fully use their gym card. They just go to gym center for one or two times and let the card sleeping in their wallets. Maybe it's the same condition for English course.
I just opened 闲鱼 and searched for keywords. To my surprise, there was a guy who was selling his English course for just one RMB!
I contacted the guy as soon as possible，he just told me，come to my home，and you will get what you want！He also told me that his address was 东圃大马路，very close to here.
Wait for a minute！How could I trust him？What if he is a criminal and when I go to his place he would attack me and take away some parts of my body？I couldn't imagine it！
But It also reminded me of a story: A millionaire advertised in a newspaper and told that he would give out his legacy to who trust this advertisement and visit him. A lucky guy who believed it and finally got this legacy.
I decided to believe him and went to his home.
We met at the front door of KFC. He was just around my age. And let me follow him to his home which lies in the Dongpu village. I could still remember the dark corridor of the building, full of dust, dim and shabby. He told me that he was running an online business with his wife at home. So there were a lot of goods piled at every corner of the apartment. And his wife also welcomed me to sit down.
He told me he had planned to immigrate to another country. So he bought a training course for English. But he changed his mind and had no free time to continue the lesson. He didn’t want to waste the chance, so he posted it online. Actually, It was me who contacted him first!
Then he asked me to come to the inner room. And give me textbooks and invoice for the fee. “Don’t let my wife see this invoice” he whispered. When I saw the number on the invoice, I knew what he worried about. It’s really too much money.
“She doesn’t know how much I spent on this.” He seemed very guilty for it.
“Just give it to me?”
“To you”
“For free?”
“One RMB, you have already paid.”
I still couldn’t believe it.
“Then let us have a lunch, you and your wife, It’s all on me.”
“No need, just take the gift and don’t waste it. And by the way, my tutor gave me an English name. So remember, you are instead me to go to the school, your English name is Nason from now on!”
Even today, I am so grateful for this generous man who gave me a great gift. I took his name and got a one-year training. If I had not believed him, I would not have been continuing to learn English, I would not have joined this club, I would not have been standing on this stage, most importantly, I would not have met all of you.
