Plant make their own food but animals cannot.Animals ,including humans,get their nutrients by eating.There are different type of nutrients(营养).
.Carbohydrates(碳水化合物)are an energy source.Bread ,potatos and pasta are examples of carbohydrates.
.Fats(脂肪)also provide energy. Butter (黄油),margarine(人造黄油)and cooking oil provide fat.
.You need proteins (蛋白质)for growth. They repair damage to your body. Meat ,fish,milk and beans are full of protein.
.Fruit and vegetables provide vitamins and minerals(维他命和矿物质) to keep your body working properly.For example,vitamin D and calcium help make strong bones.
To stay health you need.all these nutrients in the correct amounts.Too.mucj fatty food damages your heart.Too liitle vitamin D may cause rickets(佝偻病).
Exercise(锻炼身体)
You need daily exedcise for a healthy heart and strong muscles. Exercise cam make you happy and help you to concentrate.If you do not exercise enough ,or if you eat too much ,you mighy get fat.
Drugs and smoking(药品和吸烟)
Drugs affect how your body works. Some drugs are medicines.They cure illnesses or make you feel better. Other drugs, such as cannabis(大麻) and ecstasy (摇头丸) damage your body and mind.
Alcohol is the drug in beer and wine. If you have too much ,it damages many parts of the body,including the heart,stomach, brain amd liver. Too much can kill.
Tobacco is the drug in cigarettes. It cause breathing problems,cancer amd heart attarcks.Over time ,smoking kills people.
