People who are cancer survivors and still are working age are often still able to return to work after successfully undergoing treatment. It has been found that people who survive certain types of cancer that can be detected early, mainly breast and prostate cancer are main known as have the lowest risk of disease related problems, and of having to totally stop working, meanwhile, patients treated for tumors effecting the central nerve system had a leg, blood or lymph system have the highest treat work of disability and employment. In the 4 years following therapy, this suggest that some cancer patience require more assistance with dealing potential problems when returning to work, according to doctor….of … university, away to determining the former caner patience quality of life after treatment, it’s by their ability to return to work, in turn of social interactions and relationships, and one of sense of identity, work places are important role. Many people identify themselves by the job they do, on the whole, this can be viewed as good news, however, it also bring into the spot light effect that about 20% of cancer survivors continue to have problems that had affected their work. This data has the resulted of interviews of 40,00 cancer survivors treated at 4 medical centers from 1997 to 1999. Of the patience who at jobs when they were diagnosed, 13% were unable to continue to working for cancer related reasons within 4 years were being diagnosed,50% patience had to stop working while being treated. Of this patience,84% were able to go back to work often in the 1st year. In this study, 20% of patience experience to work disability one form or another. But 50% of patience worked in spite of limitations that will result of the treatment.
