5】 very foggy morning
It was a foggy and misty morning, very calm, just about 5 o’clock on Sunday, a first working day of a week just like Monday in other countries. The weekend set on Friday and Saturday according to Islamic culture here. Though it was so early, high way starts busying with cars drive slowly and cautioned as the thick fog reduced visibility on road. It is still very dark, the whole world like under a sort of cloudy sea, if you could see it from top view it must be very beautiful, Debra thought though she was so fearful.
Debra was driving very slowly and carefully, all cars were driving slowly with double flush-light on that enable other cars notice it. Road lights were just like a yellow misty hang up over head lead the way toward. It was a first time for Debra driving in such situation, she was naturally scared and fearful, she even drives slower than others.
One car overcame Debra , was a large car, surely this car is driven by someone who knows road situation very well and familiar with such situation, Debra though.
Suddenly, Debra notice that big car was just overcame her and reduced the speed, then changed to the same line with her, just drive a head of her that enable Debra followed the car. It driven paced average speed. Soon Debra understood this car was trying to accompany her and tried to lead her driving, so she will not so afraid. He must figure out it is a lady driver, has no experience driving in such foggy weather.
Debra was so touched for this kind accompany. Time in mornings are usually too tighten to everyone, this man could be one of daily driving up and down between AD and DB, for accompanying with Debra driving in low speed would take double time to him … think about this, so Debra tried her best to speed up her car to follow. Once she speeds up, the big car also speeds up a bit…
Driving in such way, 1 hour driving length in normal day that took almost two hours this morning. It was a little bright, yet was still very foggy, Debra can figure out that car in front her was a black big Jeep.
Finally she approached the multiple directions of around-about, from there she need turn left, she stopped the flush light and gives a left turn signal, then give 2 flush to front car to thank him… while she turned car into left direction, she saw that car speeding up immediately to down town direction. ‘ he might be late to work’, Debra thought.
She was too touched and moved for this that morning. She still needs drive half hour to her office after she got off the high way, so she kept carefully driving until she saw her office building, then she took a deep breath, she told herself, “thanks god, I made it …”
