Set a flag and then keep going toward it. 立个flag,然后向着它持续前进。

If I don't know where to go, make a list what I want to do. In which there are at best less than ten goals. Look at them carefully, and then find out what are more important than the other else, what is the most important goal. Set the most important goal as a flag, and then keep going toward it.

如果我不知道去向哪里,制定一个我想要做的事情清单,内中最好不超过10个目标。仔细地分析它们,找出那个最重要的目标,把它设定为一个flag,然后向着它持续行动。

In our everyday life, there are many chances for us to choose. Each chance may bring us into a strangy area, that can be fantastic, that can be exciting, that can also bring us into failure and even disasters. We always don't understand what would happen to us in the future. What should we choose?

在我们生活的每一天,我们会有很多机会可以选择。每一个机会都可能把我们带入一个神奇的领域,让人着迷,让人兴奋。也可能把我们带入困境,甚至灾难。我们总是不知道未来将发生什么,我们该如何选择呢?

If there is one thing that the most important for us worth doing , whatever it is, whatever it should be in the future, we should try our best to do it well. Never mind those who will laugh at you. Actually, they never care about where you want to go. Even if where you come from.

如果有一件最重要的事情值得去做,不管它是什么,不管它将来会怎么样,我们都应该尽力把它做好。永远不要在意谁会嘲笑你。事实上,没人会在乎你要去往何处,更不会有人在乎你从哪里来。

Maybe you will fail, maybe you will win. Who can care about you? That is the only thing you own need. So you must  focus your own and your attention on what you must do and what you love doing. Never mind how much it will rewards you.

或许你会失败,或许你会成功,谁会在乎你呢?那不过是你自己的需求罢了。因此,你必须聚焦于你自己和你自己的注意力于那些你必须做和你热爱做的人和事。绝不在意它是否带给你回报。

Gradually, you go over a long term, you will find that you are closer to the flag, and the flag is also coming to you continously. The longer you keep going, the more exciting you feel, there will be a serendipity ahead waiting for you.

慢慢地,你经历了很长的一段时间,你发现你越来越接近自己的flag, 那个flag也在不断地向你靠拢。你保持行动的时间越长,你越感到兴奋,前方有惊喜在等着你。

There is an example I am experiencing. I was fat when I was 97.5 kg before February 15 in 2021. I joined the group On Regular Investing that day. The first time I met one of the core value "workout", I felt  happy. How simple it is. I only need to walk my first step and keep going.


举个我亲身经历的例子:之前我体重97.5kg,大家都说我肥。2021年2月15日我加入了定投课堂,课堂的核心价值观之一就是健身。我很高兴,太简单了吧,我只需要迈出第一步,然后持续做就好啦。

I set a flag to decrease my weight for more than ten killograms in one year. And then I start to run for 3-6 killometres away every day, whatever it's windy or it's rain. When the flag was due to, my weight was 84 killograms. I successfully decreased my weight 13.5 killograms. I had successfully reached my flag.

我给自己设立了一个flag ---- 一年内减重不少于10kg。然后,我开始每一天跑步3-6km,风雨无阻。一年时间到了,我的体重变成了84kg,我成功地在一年内减重13.5kg,我成功地摘取了我的flag。

Success doesn't mean an end point. It's only a new beginning in our life. If we look success as an end point, it's no doubt that we will come back to the primary start point soon. Because we have our own weight.

人生中,成功不是终点,它只不过是一个新的起点。如果我们视其为终点,毫无疑问,我们将重新回到原点。因为我们有重力。

When I reached my flag at that moment, I started to display my achievement everywhere without keeping going. Day after day, I find that my weight is increasing. I almost hard to run quickly.  I go back to be fat. I am a little sad. I am a little anxiety. What my older daught said on a party on september 16 in 2022  knocked at my head.

当我达到flag的那一刻,我开始到处炫耀我的成绩,而不再持续做使我成功的那件事了。时间一天天过去,我发现体重又回来了,我几乎不能快速跑动。我又变得肥胖了,我有一点点沮丧,还有一点点焦虑。2022年9月16日大女儿在朋友聚会上的一句话惊醒了我。

She said, if you want to be a succussful people, how can you imagine a person who even can't decrease his weight? A simple goal you can't reach, how can you think about an even complex goal else? I believe that you can control yourself. Can't you?

她说:“如果想要成为一个成功的人,一个连减肥都做不到的人怎么可能做到成功?一个简单的目标都不能达成,何论其它复杂的梦想?我相信你能管好自己,不是吗?”

My face was quite red at that moment. I standed up with speaking aloudly. I said, of course I can. See me 110 days later. I set a flag to decrease my weight for more than ten killograms in 110 days since then, before January 1 in 2023. There are more than ten people in the party. After saying like this, there is a flag in my mind once again.

我的脸腾地红了。我站起来大声宣称,我能做到,110天后再来看我。我设定了一个flag,从那时开始,110天之内减重不少于10kg。也就是说,最迟在2022年最后一天要摘下这面flag。十多个人见证了我立下flag的过程。那一刻,我心中又有了一面flag。

I weighted my body when I came back home. It was 90.6 killograms. I knew that I was on my way back to the start point. If I look this point as a new point, my new flag must be 80.6 killograms. Couldn't I set my flag at the point of 79 killograms? Let me try.

回到家后,我立刻测量了自己的体重 ---- 90.6kg。我知道我正在返回原点的路上。如果我以此刻为一个新的起点,我的flag就插在80.6kg上。我可不可以把flag插在79kg上呢?试试看。

The rest thing is very simple, control my mouth, walk out my feet, and keep going. The simple doesn't mean the easy. Each time I take party with my friends, I can't control my mouth. Each time my work is busy, I can't walk out my feet. When I decrease my weight a little, I feel happy. When I increase my weight much more, I feel very sad.

接下来的事情很简单:管住嘴,迈开腿,并持续做到。简单并不意味着容易。每一次和朋友聚会,我都管不住自己的嘴。每一次工作忙的时候,我都迈不开自己的腿。当体重降一点点,我开心极了。当体重反弹上升很多,我就很不开心。

To my surprise, it's very hard to do such a simple thing daily. Can't I reach my goal? Of course I can. I must have my own rule and follow it seriously. If I can't do a simple thing like decreasing my weigh, I can do nothing. This is my first step to be success self-made millionaire.

我竟然很难每天做好如此简单的一件事情。我还能达到我的目标吗?我当然能。我必须有规则并严格按规则去做。如果我连减重这样简单的事都做不到,那我将一事无成。这是我通向财富自由的第一步。

Today is November 24 in 2022. It's the 69th day to my flag. There is 41 days remain to the flag. I weight my body this morning, it is 83.1 killograms. I must decrease my weight at least 4.1 killograms in the rest 41 days. The same as I must decrease my weight at least 0.1 killogram per day, can I reach my goal? I think I can. I must can. Set a flag and then keep going toward it. See you 41 days later.

今天是2022年11月24日,是我通向flag的第69天,还有41天。今天早上我的体重测量值为83.1kg,我在41天里至少要减重4.1kg。也就是说每天至少0.1kg。我能做到吗?我想我能,我必须能。设定一个flag,然后向着它持续行动。41天后,我们再见。
