A private conversation
Last week I went to the theatre. Although my seat was excellently positioned and the play was interesting, I could not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman, sitting behind me, were talking loudly all the time. I was angry because I couldn't hear what the actors were saying. And the talking two didn't pay attention to me even when I turned back my head. For one more time I turned to them and said, "I can't hear any words!"
"None of your business", said the man bluntly, "it's a private conversation!"
原文:
Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly. I got very angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the end, I could not bear it. I turned round again. 'I can't hear a word!' I said angrily.
'It's none of your business,' the young man said rudely. 'This is a private conversation!'
反思:
hear: to be aware of sounds with your ears。
