Besides, numerous great buildings could be found everywhere in London. On the banks of the Thames, the House of Parliament- the capitol of England- where a group of men selected by the people talk about and make laws, has square towers with a big clock in one of them with a huge bell named“Big Ben”that strikes the hours instead of a dome. However, a church named“St. Paul’s”has a dome. It is built after the Big Fire three hundred years ago by Wren who built beautiful churches and buildings, but unfortunately, many of which were destroyed by terrible bombings named“Blitz”during World War II. Another famous church is“Westminster Abbey”- a tomb for the most famous English people, where has a chair named“Coronation Chair”representing England with a large stone below representing Scotland. Therefore when kings are crowned, they sit on both seats as as symbol of the governance of both countries. Apart from the largest museum of London-British Museum, there is a museum named“Tower”-the oldest building in London- with ancient curiosities and heavy security because it used to be a prison where famous people were kept.
