什么是探索？什么是探索精神？我以为很简单，就是当你对某一件事情产生了兴趣，就穷其一生孜孜不倦地研究下去，直到有所发现，有所收获，并且写下对其研究的著作。
探索とは何でしょう?探究心とは何でしょう?簡単なことだと思いますが、何かに興味を持ったら、一生をかけてコツコツと研究を続け、何かを発見し、何かを得て、その研究書を書くことです。
当我十七、八岁时，读书、做学问已被“读书无用论”所取代。其实在六十年代早期，我在学校图书馆中借阅过“海底两万里”、“地心游记”等英国人所写的书，还读过前苏联杂志“科学就是力量”，家里订阅了介绍世界各国军用飞机的“世界航空”杂志。也许我曾想像过做一些了不起的事情，可是在那时注定无法实现。在无书可读的年代里，我和几位同学研究起摄影技术，并且背着照相机去各地旅行，拍下我们十七、八岁时的靓颖。到了今天，这些黑白照片便成了我珍贵的财富。 说到对花卉的认识，就必须提起从南京林学院毕业的六舅，他在读高中时就喜欢种花，在上海外公家里种了一株开红花的月季，以及一株爬籐的开粉红色花的蔷薇，这两株花和院中其他花草一共生长了二十多年，直到虬江路家里房屋院子被拆迁。可是这两株花却永远活在我的心中。
私が17、8歳の頃には、読書や学問は「読書無用論」に取って代わられていました。実は一九六〇年代の初めに、学校の図書館で「海底二万里」とか「地球心旅行記」とか、イギリス人が書いた本を借りたり、旧ソ連の雑誌「科学は力なり」を読んだり、家では世界各国の軍用機を紹介する雑誌「ワールド・エアウェイズ」を購読していました。何かすごいことをしてみたいと思っていたかもしれませんが、そのときは実現できませんでした。読むべき本がなかった時代、私は何人かのクラスメートと写真技術を研究しました。そしてカメラを背負って各地を旅して、私たちの十七、八歳の時のきれいな姿を写真に撮りました。今では、この白黒写真が私の貴重な財産になっています。花についての知識といえば、南京の林学院を卒業した六人の伯父さんがあげなければなりません。彼は高校生のころから花を植えるのが好きで、上海の祖父の家に赤い花をつけるコウノバラと籐を使ったピンクの花を植えました。キュウ江路の家の庭が取り壊しになるまで、この二株と一緒に二十年以上も育ちました。でもこの二本の花は私の心の中でずっと生きでいる。
与月季花再次重逢，是在回到上海后，在二弟乌鲁木齐路的院子里。那株月季现在还在，大约有二十多年了，有一人多高，开红花。尽管院子被大面积翻修二次，许多花木都被砍掉了，她却幸存下来。 然后有了自已栽培月季苗的径历。那时我家搬到了大场飞机场附近，我家楼下有一位老太是位来自舟山的老农妇，也非常爱种花。我从原来住的小区收集到一些月季花种子，带到新房子，培育出两株月季花苗。想不到的是其中有一株苗第二年就开了一朶花，令我惊喜不已。那一年我家有兰花，龟背，吊兰等多盆花，把阳台装点得像一个小花园。这两盆月季长得有一尺半高，几年后再次搬家，我把她们留给楼下的老太了。
月季花と再会したのは、上海に戻った後、二番目の弟ウルムチ路の庭でした。そのサツキは今も残っていて、二十年以上前のもので、背の高さは一人分あり、赤い花をつけています。庭は二度も大改修され、多くの木や木が切り落とされましたが、彼女は生き延びました。そして自分でチーチーの苗を栽培する径暦があります。その時私の家は大場の飛行場の近くに引っ越して、私の家の下の階は1人のおばあさんが舟山からの老農婦で、同じく非常に花を植えることを愛します。私は以前住んでいた団地から種を集め、新しい家に持って行き、2本の苗を育てました。その中の一本の苗が、思いがけず翌年には花を咲かせていて、私を驚かせてくれました。その年、私の家には蘭、亀の甲、つる蘭などの鉢がたくさんあり、ベランダを小さな庭のように飾っていました。この二鉢の月バラは一尺半の高さになりましたが、何年か後にまた引っ越すことになりまして、私は彼女たちを下のおばあさんに残しました。
就是这株月季，前一年冬天用种子种下的，第二年十月份就开了第一朶花。因为太柔弱，用一根木棍支撑着。 月季花（学名：Rosa chinensis Jacq.）：被称为花中皇后，又称“月月红”，是常绿、半常绿低矮灌木，四季开花﹐一般为红色﹐或粉色、偶有白色和黄色﹐可作为观赏植物，也可作为药用植物，亦称月季。有三个自然变种，现代月季花型多样，有单瓣和重瓣，还有高心卷边等优美花型；其色彩艳丽、丰富，不仅有红、粉、黄、白等单色，还有混色、银边等品种；多数品种有芳香。月季的品种繁多，世界上已有近万种，中国也有千种以上。

自然花期4月-9月，花成大型，由内向外，呈发散型，有浓郁香气，可广泛用于园艺栽培和切花。月季的适应性强，耐寒、抗旱，不论地栽、盆栽均可，适用于美化庭院、装点园林、布置花坛、配植花篱、花架，月季栽培容易，可作切花，用于做花束和各种花篮，月季花朵可提取香精，并可入药。也有较好的抗真菌及协同抗耐药真菌活性。红色切花更成为情人间必送的礼物之一，并成为爱情诗歌的主题。 中国是月季的原产地之一。月季花荣秀美，姿色多样，四时常开，深受人们的喜爱，中国有52个城市将它选为市花，1985年5月月季被评为中国十大名花第五名。 这几株月季花是我今天在上海植物园拍摄的，各种颜色都有。大红，紫红，黄色，白色，等等。品种和形装各不相同。 在第三次搬家到借住的财大公寓以及第四次搬到大华碧云天期间，我买了两盆黄色月季花和一盆红色月季花，如今只有两盆还活着，还在继续开花。

What is exploration? What is the spirit of exploration? I thought it was simple. It's when you become interested in something and devote your entire life to studying it tirelessly until you make a discovery or achieve something, and then write a book about your research.
If it is to say that we these seventy year old men have never explored anything, is not true. Just think back. Have you ever climbed a tree bare-handed? Have you ever scaled the roof of your house from the terrace? Have you ever picked a flower, a weed, or caught a strange bug in the wild and tried your best to figure out what it was? If you have, that's exploration. Don't underestimate this kind of exploration. It's the beginning of becoming a scientist, craftsman, gardener, and all top-notch individuals!
When I was seventeen or eighteen, reading and studying had been replaced by the "anti-reading" mentality. In fact, in the early 1960s, I borrowed books such as "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" written by the British, and read "Science is Power," a Soviet magazine, at school library. My family also subscribed to "World Aviation," a magazine that introduced military aircraft of various countries. Perhaps I had once dreamed of doing something great, but it was destined not to come true at that time. In the era when there was no book to read, I and a few classmates studied photography and traveled with cameras to various places to take pictures of our youthful beauty. Today, these black-and-white photos have become my precious treasure.
When it comes to knowledge of flowers, we must mention my sixth uncle who graduated from Nanjing Forestry College. He had a passion for gardening even before he went to high school, and he planted a red rose and a climbing rose that bloomed pink flowers at his grandfather's house in Shanghai. These two plants, along with the other flowers and plants in the garden, grew for over 20 years until the house and yard at Qiujiang Road where they were located were demolished. However, these two plants will always live in my heart.
Reuniting with the rose again was after returning to Shanghai, in my younger brother's courtyard on Urumqi Road. The rose is still there now, about 25 years old, over a person tall, with red flowers. Despite the extensive renovation of the courtyard twice, and the cutting down of many plants, she survived.
Then I had my own experience of growing rose bushes. At that time, my family moved to an area near Dachang Airport, and there was an elderly woman from Zhoushan who loved gardening and grew flowers even more than me living on the floor below our new house. I collected some rose seed from my previous neighborhood and brought them to our new house to grow two rose bushes. To my surprise, one of the bushes produced a flower the following year, which made me very happy. That year, we had many plants in our home, including orchids, tortoise shell plants, and hanging plants, which decorated our balcony like a small garden. The two rose bushes were about a foot and a half tall, and when we moved again a few years later, I left them with the old lady living below our house.
It was this rose bush that was planted with seeds the previous winter, and the first flower opened in October of the following year. Because it was so fragile, it was supported by a wooden stick.

They are suitable for beautifying courtyards, adorning gardens, arranging flower beds, planting hedges and arches, and rose cultivation is easy. They can be used as cut flowers to make bouquets and various flower baskets. The flowers of roses can be extracted to make fragrant oil and used in medicine. They also have good antifungal and synergistic antibiotic activity against drug-resistant fungi. Red cut flowers have become one of the must-send gifts between lovers and have become a theme in love poetry.
