In zheng jiazhuang of Eryuan, there are 7 ethnic groups including Han, Bai, Tibetan, Dai, Naxi, Lisu, Yi and Mosuo people. The village is in the Ancient Tea Horse Road, many people fled, traded and migrated. After years of developmence, people intermarriage and harmonious coexistence.
It is a multi-ethnic living, there are big differences in religious beliefs and living habits. However, these difference didn't affect the friendship. Because they often help each other in usual life. They respect each other. In the ethnic customs holiday, they will invite each other. In the new year days, everyone will also gather at the national square, singing and dancing. So gradually everybody get along more and more. They can understand and respect each other.
To worship Benzhu is the traditional custom of Bai, But in Zhengjiazhuang, people of all ethnic group in the village would go to the temple of the Benzhu to offer sacrifices every year on the eve of the lunar New year.
