- Its Day 2 the federal government shutdown and senate leaders offered no obvious solution to reopen the government. Senate minority leader Chuck Xxx said he will continue to lead a filibuster of a stopgap spending measure while majority leader Mitch McConnell placed blames on Democrats. A compromised ginges on a deal to protect the so called dreamers who has been shielded against deportation after being brought into the country as minors.
- Vice president Mike Pence scolded the Democrats over the shutdown speaking at the US troops in Jordan on Sunday and he also met with Jordan's Xxx to talk about Middle East peace. Xxx appeal to Pence, urging a restoration of trust and confidence following the Trump administration's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
- Marking the one year anniversary of Trump's presidency, women's marches continue around the world on Sunday. In Paris, protestors gathered at the Eiffel Tower to rally against sexual misconduct and discrimination. In Las Vegas, groups use the chance to launch an effort to register new voters in Queen States in hopes of shifting control of congress later this year.
