Texas borders the gulf of Mexico to the southeast and Mexico to the south.Covering an area 696,000 kilometers,it is the second largest state in the United States after Alaska.The population is25,145,516.It’s capital city is Austin.
Most of Texas has a temperate climate and parts of the south have a subtropical climate.Southern Mexico along the region vulnerable to typhoons.The state could see winter blizzards and summer droughts,tornadoes and hurricanes.
Great bend national park is one of the most famous national park in Texas.It is the largest reserve in the chihuahuan desert .It has 1,200 plants species,450 bird species,56 reptile species and 75 mammal species.The park contains a variety of fossils from the cenozoic and cretaceous period.It located in southwest Texas,it is the largest national park in Texas.
There is a sign at the mouth of the river. It says that there have been many times in history when the river has flooded farmhouses and farmlands. The big house with several Windows here is empty. I don't know what year it is. Who knows what vicissitudes it has gone through.
