1. work up
After procrastinating for half an hour, I eventually worked up the courage to walk down the hallway to his office.
work up courage/interest/enthusiasm, make yourself feel interested, brave etc.
dic: I am trying to work up enough courage to go to the dentist.
my: I am trying to work up enough courage to take the risk.
2. let out
So I let out a sigh and turned around.
let out water, air, or breath, they allow it to flow or escape.
dic: Meer let out his breath in a long sigh.
my: He let out a terrible scream and ran away.
Part 2 Sentences
1. But we wanted to run our own business and be in control of our won destiny. This wasn't about the money, it was about not being bored.
Sometimes we just want to do something not for the money, but for the dream, for the true heart, for what we are crazy about.
2. We didn't know what we wanted to do, but we had learned what we didn't want to do. We didn't want to work for Oracle. We didn't want to do any more Web design work. We didn't want to make any more sales calls. And we didn't want to be bored out of our minds.
This kind of feeling juat like love, for which you don't know what kind of person you really love, but you know what kind of person you don't love. Therefore, no matter works or relations, as long as you feel that you don't like it, then leave it alone and try to find the one you really love. Don't worry, maybe it will take a long time, you will end up deserve what you want.
3. I had read somewhere that you're in your best negotiating position if you don't care what the outcoming is and you're not afraid to walk away.
It need enough brave and courage to do this. Roll your game, pay your price.
4. I though about how easily we are all brainwashed by our society and culture to stop thinking and just assume by default that more money equals more success and more happiness, when ultimately happiness is really just about enjoying life.
It's true fact that we are always brainwashed by our society and culture. We would worngly assess our happiness by the rich level and successful achievements. But the real and imperative factor of assessing the happiness is just enjoying your life.
5. I didn't know exactly what I was going to do, but I knew what I wasn't going to do. I wasn't going to sit around letting my life and the world pass me by. People thought I was crazy for giving up all that money. And yes, making that decision was crazy, but in a good way.
I didn't realize it at the time, but it was a turning point for me in my life. I had decided to stop chasing the money, and start chasing the passion.
I was ready for the next chapter in my life.
现在又到了人生中关键的抉择阶段，人生最重要的其实只有几个时刻，也可以说人生是由几个点组成的，而这几个点就是决定命运的选择，你选择的点会决定你接下来的方向，会决定你遇到什么样的人，接受什么样的教育，进入什么样的环境，受到什么样的熏陶。
想起了那首诗
