The author illustrated the negative effects brought by the prevailing of electronical devices such as cellphone and internet in many aspects occurred in her living experiences. She experienced scenarios like students insist on leaving their phone ringing during class time, and using excuses by emphasizing the importance of calls. However, everyone knows that those students will just be safe and sound without answering any sort of phones calls. The author also tried to demonstrate that people who lives under the stage of cyber generation imperatively need to learn how to balance out their solitude and internet communication, because the author views loneliness as precious stuff these days.
In my opinion, internet indeed grants this generation massive amount of resources and convinces, however, the internet generation seems inevitably lost their control over cellphones due to the easiness and convince that cellphone is able to provide. Therefore, I strongly agreed with the author, because otherwise people would be just enslaved by their cellphone instead of taking advantage of this progressive technology. Moreover, the author mentioned the world: solitude, which means enjoying a nice little loneliness. I agree because solitude is just so priceless and precious nowadays, when people involuntary sieged by various types of “noise” including: advertising, working essentials, and massive amount of social media. We all need some time to peace and relief our spirit and dignity, by not getting intercepted by any kind of noise. So in conclusion: I strongly agree with the author, and I want to appeal for cellphone regularly suspension. Just considering more about real life instead of virtual world.
