【问:如何在别人生病时表达关心?】
1. What's the matter?
关心他人的问法,语气委婉、含蓄,也可用于不确定对方是否生病的情况。
2-1. Do you feel all right? You don't look so good.
2-2. Are you OK? You look pale.
3. sb. look +形容词=某人看起来……
Tom doesn't feel well, he looks tired.
【答:如何表达自己的不适?】
[ A. 身体劳累 ]
1. I don't feel well, I'm tired.
2. I didn't get enough sleep, I need some rest.
3. be worn out / exhausted=精疲力尽
I am worn out / exhausted.
4. I went to bed later than usual last night.
3个语块:I went to bed / later than usual / last night.
2个语块:I went to bed / later than usual last night.
1个语块:I went to bed later than usual last night.
5. stay up late=睡得晚/熬夜
Just don't stay up too late.

B-1:肚子不舒服
I feel sick to my stomach. I feel like throwing up.
feel like doing sth.=想要做某事
throw up=呕吐
nauseous=恶心的,想吐的
英 ['nɔːsɪəs]
美 [ˈnɔ:ʃəs]
I feel nauseous.
vomit / puke=呕吐
There must be something wrong with the food, I think I'm going to vomit / puke.
感到恶心、想吐:
I feel sick to my stomach.
I feel like throwing up.
I feel nauseous.
I'm going to vomit / puke.
B-2:身体某部位疼痛
ache=疼痛
My back aches. = I have a backache.
身体部位+ache=哪里痛
如:head + ache = headache
tooth + ache = toothache
stomach + ache = stomachache
表示“不舒服”的夸张句型:Sth. is / are killing me.
My head's killing me.=头疼死啦!
Man, thoes shoes are killing me.=天啊!这双鞋穿得我疼死了。
“头痛”的表达:
I have a headache.
My head aches.
My head is killing me.
【怎么去关心不舒服的Ta?】
1. Can I get you a glass of water?=能给你拿杯水吗?
2. Would you like to lie down?=你要不要躺下来?
3. Should I call a doctor?=要不要叫医生?
We've got to do something.=我们得做点什么。
Should we take you back to the house?=我们要不要送你回家?
【表示后续的关心】
1. Are you feeling better now?
2. Did you take any medication?
3. Have you seen a doctor?
【Part 2:关怀他人情绪】
Tip 1:To be a good listener=做一个好的倾听者
Tell me how you're feeling, maybe I can help you.
Do you just need to vent? I'm all ears.
vent=发泄
I'm all ears.=我听着呢!
Tip 2:To be comforting=安慰式
Don't worry. Everything is going to be OK.
Tip 3:To distract / shift attention=转移注意力
Would you like to hear some gossip?
Tip 4:To show your actual / practical care=给予实际的关怀
Can I make you a cup of tea?
I'm bringing dinner Thursday. Do you want lasagna(千层面) or chicken?
Tip 5:To show your care directly=直接表达关心
I care about you. You are not alone.
【Part 3: 安慰他人时的忌讳表达】
1. 不比谁更惨,而应该表现出同理心
2. 措辞不要太理性,即使那是现实
