It has become a discussion how to teach children to productively contribute to society by showing cooperation. Some argue that children should be taught by their parents, while others assert that this kind of education should be carried out by schools. Conversely, I consider the collaboration of parents and teachers as more motivating for children to stay reasonable and polite especially in dealing with the people in the community.
Parents have the most intimate relationship with children since the latter’s birth and early stage of development. They help their children not only to become familiar with their surroundings, but also to teach them good manners. Almost all of the things children have known in their early life period are the efforts that their parents have made with the hope that their children will be intelligent and be helpful to the country.
On the other hand, school is the place where teachers guide students to treat everyone equally, learn to apologize for their own mistakes and forgive others. These values would benefit them for a whole lifetime. Furthermore, children are required to obey some rules and regulations in school, which is particularly critical as they would be bound by laws and morality after stepping into the society. Through the school’s structured programme the children’s ability to obey and conform is exercised.
From my point of view, both parents and schools have responsibilities to teach children how to behave well in the community. In this way, children can learn how to be courteous based on the distinct disciplines on appropriate conduct they acquired from their home and their school. For instance, the parents have conversations with their kids on how to obey the laws. The teachers can reinforce this discussion by sharing ideas how each contributes to society building.
In conclusion, parents are deemed as accountable in shaping their children’s constructive values, although the schools have indispensable function in the children’s education on morals. However, the children become productive citizens if the academe and the parents work together for their learning.

With the development of communication technology, in particular the internet, more and more people use mobile phones and computers to communicate. The internet makes the exchange of business and personal information achievable. Whether this is a good development is a controversial issue however, my firm conviction is that the best approach to use this technology is with moderation.
On the one hand, the internet and the communication gadgets have an enormous impact on our daily life. Smart phones and computers allow people not only to keep in touch, but also share some aspects of their personal or professional life through the social media. This connection helps them to maintain a stable relationship regardless if they are located in different areas or countries. In this age where travelling and migration are societal norms, the cyberspace facilitates the peoples’ connection.
On the other hand, the net has a positive influence on society and business. With communication technology, it is convenient for people to communicate with their customers and business partners living in different locations in real time. Furthermore, work efficiency and social productivity are improved, as people from different regions can cooperate online for the completion of a business study or even academic research. The evolution of the way people interact and work together make the society more prosperous.
This is not to say that there are not any drawbacks in this development. The most important thing is that the excessive use of electronic equipment may make a person become solitary and isolated from the real world so that they lose the ability to make friends and socialise in a normal way.
In a nutshell, the internet and the communication gadgets are too essential to our daily life and to the society for the purpose of connection; this is a benefit that cannot be overlooked. However, it matters to observe discipline in using this privilege for us to lead a healthy life and relationships.

Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with the above statement?
Essay:
Nowadays, the dilemma of traffic congestion and pollution haunts everybody and there is a suggestion to escalate the petrol price to solve this. I disagree to this proposal in the fullest extent because I think that increasing fuel price will do more harm than good and there are more efficient ways to end the predicament.
In spite of the increased petrol price, motorists will continue to use their private vehicles as there are no viable options to use. In fact, due to the increase in petrol price, the transportation costs would also escalate thus affecting the cost of living. This could lead to the instability of our economy and may be a factor to more serious problems.
The other reason why I refuse the aforementioned suggestion is because that there are more sustainable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower that can be used to run vehicles and factories, which will emanate lesser amount of harmful gases like carbon monoxide which could contribute to the considerable increase in air pollution. The government has the responsibility to develop the renewable energy so that the predicaments that we are facing now will come to a halt.
A campaign to improve public awareness of the importance of environmental protection and ill-effects of too much fuel consumption could also be a great way to minimize the perils of the world. This could help ease out the dilemma since this could result to a permanent solution. Furthermore, citizens should opt to use public transportations more frequently like electric train, subway and bus in commuting rather than their own cars. The fewer cars we use, the less pollution and traffic problems there will be.
In conclusion, to improve traffic congestion and reduce pollution, the government should develop more sustainable energy sources and encourage citizens to use more public transportations instead of increasing petrol price.

Nowadays, the increasing body weight and the decline of the standard of health has been the problem of many nations; nevertheless, there are more ways than one to tackle this issue.
Disowning the importance of a healthy lifestyle could lead to being overweight and unhealthy. Firstly, this predicament is mainly triggered by the lack of exercise. Most of the people are too lazy to do any daily exercise which could directly affect their health. After work, people would prefer to just sit in front of the computers and TV of their homes and wouldn’t care to do their housework; hence, they are not able to do any exercise which could help them lose fat. Secondly, people tend to eat whatever they want without considering the nutritional value of the food the intake. For example, they eat more foods which have high level of caloric and fats content but lesser amount of vegetables and fruits. In this way, the average weight is increasing due to the consummation of fatty foods, and their health status being risked because of the inadequate amount of nutrients they partake.
Over weight may be a huge problem to solve but there are reasonable ways to address this issue. For example, daily exercise could keep us fit and improve the standard of health. The more exercise we do, the fitter we will be. Furthermore, a balanced diet is crucial for maintaining weight and good health. This includes meats, vegetables and fruits; and should therefore be included in every day meal. With a balanced diet, the average weight would be decreased, resulting to a body that is not prone to serious illnesses.
Briefly, increase in weight and the decline of the health condition is caused by an unhealthy lifestyle so a comprehensive program of daily exercise and a balanced diet would help people to end this predicament.
