Let's say "Happy Women's Day"
Hello everyone, recently Women's Day is coming, let's say happy Women's Day, not goddess Day/girl's Day.
A long time ago, the status of women was very low, and everyone believed that women should take care of and serve others. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the West began to engage in economic expansion, and later the start of World War I required a large number of women to participate in social production and reproduction. But not paying them or paying them only a small amount, for no reason, just because you are a woman, you should obey the arrangement. So the women banded together to protest. There was no law to support them. They fought for what they were entitled to, and they succeeded. The process was very difficult, and those women bravely fought for fairer work rights and voting rights for women with their own actions/blood/even lives. Coincidentally, each of these protests took place on March 8th. So the United Nations designated March 8 as International Women's Day.
The significance of Women's Day is to emphasize the social status and value of women, and promote gender equality and the protection of women's rights and interests. This festival is not only to celebrate the achievements of women, but also to remind society of the challenges and inequalities faced by women in various fields, and to promote social change and progress.
In contrast, the Goddess Festival gradually lost its essential meaning in the wave of commercialization. It has become a tool for marketing and promotion, causing people to pay too much attention to material consumption and superficial images, while ignoring the real social status and rights of women. This trend may dilute the importance of gender equality and even reinforce traditional gender roles and stereotypes, thus hindering the protection of women's rights and the promotion of gender equality.
So let's all say: "Happy Women's Day"!
