1. 定语从句的关系词which

which指物

• Football is a game which is liked by most boys. 足球是一项为大多数男孩所喜欢的运动。
• This is the pen (which) he bought yesterday. 这是他昨天买的铅笔。

关系代词做介词宾语

• The school (that/which) he once studied in is very famous. 他读过的学校非常出名。
• The school in which he once studied is very famous. 他读过的学校非常出名。

固定搭配一般不拆开使用，如：look for, look after, take care of

• This is the watch which/that I am looking for. (True) 这是我正在寻找的手表。
• This is the watch for which I am looking. (False 错误表达)
   

2. for和to的使用场合

1.for表示经过...的时间和距离

• I haven't seen her for five years. 我有五年没见过她了。
• The war lasted for four years. 战争持续了四年。
• We walked for a mile and ran for a mile. 我们走了一英里，又跑了一英里。

to表示时间终点和行程终点（跟随动词）

• He works from morning to night. 他从早工作到晚。
• It's ten minutes to nine. 现在是八点五十。
• He went to Britain last year. 他去年去了英国。
• The apple dropped to the ground. 苹果掉落到地上。
   

2.for表示目的地或方向，相当于in order to reach

• It is a train for Shanghai. 这是开往上海的火车
• He set off for Nanjing this morning.他今早起身去了南京。

to表示方向，相当于in the direction of

• Turn to left side 向左转。
• He will fly to United States tonight. 他将于今晚飞往美国。
   

3.for表示目的，for the purpose of

• She read the letter for me. 她为我读信。

to表示行为的对象，对、对于

• This book belongs to me. 这本书属于我。
• She is kind to me.她对我好。
• He was faithful to his friends.他忠于朋友。
   

4.for 代替、代表，in place of, representing

• Shall I carry this baggage for you? 我能为你拎包吗？
• He is the agent for the firm. 他是公司代表。

to 表示各种关系

• He gave the letter to me. 他把信给我。
• I gave the book to him. 我把书给他。
   

3. There are 3 process steps before signal wire crimping. 在信号线压接前有三个步骤。

There 那里

• We shall soon be there. 我们很快到达那儿。

There is (are) 有…

• There is a book. 有本书。
• There are many students there. 那儿有许多学生。

Here也可以用于这种句型。

• There is a book.

There is to be 预定有

4. ...the operating sequence is checking the type of raw cable. 操作顺序是检查电缆型号。

color sequence 颜色顺序

• The color sequence yellow, orange, purple, blue, green and white
• The color sequence of rainbow is red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple. 彩虹的颜色顺序是赤、橙、黄、绿、青、蓝、紫。

according to 根据

7. push the cable shielding wires backward 向后翻电缆屏蔽

Backward 向后
In American English, backward is usually used as an adverb instead of backwards. 在美语中，常用backward来代替backwards来代表副词。因此，我们可以就用backward,同样适用于以下的forward。

• He took two steps backward. 向后退两步。

Forward 向前

8. cut shielding wire and wrap the copper foil around shielding wire as below 如下图用铜箔包裹屏蔽丝

Braid v.编辫子（Braiding指电缆的编织丝）
wrap v. 包裹

• Wrap the foil over the fish. 把鱼裹上薄膜。

9. Flip the plastic foil backward, remove the filling yarn, and fit the shrink tube.向后翻塑料层，移除填充线，再套上热缩套管。

Pull/Push the foil back ,这是不地道的表达方式，正确地应该用Fit

• fit the shrink tube装上热缩套管
• She fitted her key in the lock. 她把钥匙插进锁孔。

Position安放、安置，这里也不能用position来表示套热缩管。

• Position the large television screen 安装大型电视屏幕

Hitch 把..钩住，if you look up the word "套上" in some electronic dictionary如果在电子词典查“套上”，会出来hitch，也不正确

• hitch the horse to the cart 套上马车
• Hitch up 向上提
• He hitched up his trousers 向上提裤子
   

10. Remove the transparent foil with diagonal pliers 用斜口钳剪去透明薄膜

• He cut the copper wire with diagonal pliers. 他用斜口钳剪铜线。

Part 1 Overmolding process 注塑工艺

come up: to happen 发生

• I'm afraid something urgent has come up. 恐怕一些紧急的事情会发生。
• We'll let you know if any vacancies come up. 一有职位空缺我们就会通知你。
   

2. You know how many Elisonstack assemblies we've scraped every day? 你知道我们每天报废多少Elisonstack吗？

How many和How much的区别
a. for countable and uncountable 分别用于可数和不可数

• How much money do you have on you? 你随身带了多少钱？
• How much water do you want? 你需要多少水？
• How many balls do you have? 你有多少个球?

b. Weight

• How much does the pig weigh? Eight kilos. 这头猪多重？8公斤。
• The scales can be used to weigh other items such as parcels. 秤可以用来称重包裹什么的。

c. Money

How much is the eraser? Ninety two fen. 橡皮多少钱？9角2分。

d. Calculation

• How much is twenty-five multiple four? It's one hundred. 25乘以4是多少？100。
   

3. Actually only a few of them were scrapped... 事实上只有一小部分被报废。

few, a few - countable 可数的; little, a little - uncountable 不可数的
a few/a little - positive 肯定的，few/little - negative 否定的

• for the man who is thirsty: There is little water in the glass. 杯子里几乎没什么水了。
  for the man who is not thirsty: There is a little water in the glass. 杯子里还有一些水。

few (can use 'so', 'too' and 'very' in front of few)

• She had few friends, and was generally not very happy. 她没什么朋友，平时过得也不开心。
• It took us some few days to repair the machine. (positive) 我们花了几天的工夫来修理机器。
   

4. Don't you think over the reworking time on it? 你难道没有考虑过返工时间吗？

Rhetorical question 反问句
a. How to ask

• He teaches English. - Doesn’t he teach English?
  You like music. - Don’t you like music?

b. 反意疑问句

• Doesn't he pass the examination? - Yes, he does. 他难道没有通过考试吗？ 不，他通过了。
  Doesn't he pass the examination? - No, he doesn't. 他难道没有通过考试吗？ 是的，他挂科了。

c. 前肯定后否定

• She teaches English, doesn’t she? 她教英语，不是吗？
• Yes, she does. 不，她教英语的。
  No, she doesn't. 是的，她不教英语。

d. 前否定后肯定

His sister didn't attend the meeting, did she? 他妹妹没有出席会议，对吗？
Yes, she did. 不，她出席了。
No, she didn't. 是的，她没有出席。

e. 带有否定意义的副词，也表示否定

• He has never been in Germany before, has he? 他此前从未去过德国，对吗？
  No, he hasn't.
  Yes, he has.

f. 否定意义的形容词，在分句中仍然视作肯定。

• He is unhappy, isn't he? 他不开心，不是的吗？
   

Think over 仔细考虑

• She said she needs time to think it over. 她说她需要点时间来考虑。
   

5. We need to do some brainstorming to... 我们要的是集思广益......

• Brainstroming is one of the approaches to solve the problems. 集思广益是解决问题的方法之一。

brainstorm, noun. If you have a brainstorm, you suddenly become unable to think clearly

• I can have a brainstorm sometimes. 我有时会头脑发热。

6. Could we have your comments on the impedance failure? 我想知道你对于阻抗不良的看法。

Could: the very polite request 非常礼貌地请求

• Could I borrow your pencil? 我可以借你的铅笔吗？
• Could you come and see me next Sunday?= Would you come and... 你下周日能来看我吗？

could比may或can更有礼貌、更委婉 （跟我们一般认知有差异）。
Can you... = Will you...
Could you... = Would you...

7. ...some new operators are hired in this period of time. 在这段时间内雇佣了一些新员工

in this period of time 在一段时期内

• This crisis might last for a long period of time. 经济危机可能会持续一段时间。

in a short period 在短时期
entire period, full period 整个时期

• You have been paid for the full period of your employment with us. 你整个受雇期间的工资我们已经全部付清。
• a happy period in her life 在她生命中一段快乐时光
• It should be precious to us for the happy periods in our life. 在我们生命中的快乐时光值得珍惜。

Christmas period 圣诞期间

• I don't agree with you.
  I don't really agree with you. 我不是非常同意你的观点。
  I'm afraid I disagree with you. 恐怕我不同意你的说法。
  I don't think so.
  I wouldn't say that.我绝不会那样说。
  That's impossible. 不可能。
  Objection! 反对！
  That's ridiculous. 那真是荒谬！

absurd 荒谬的

• In my view, the property price in Xiongan New District were absurdly high in this period of time. 在我看来，这段时期雄安新区的房价高得离谱。

insane 疯狂的

• Seeing his mother was insulted by loan shark, Yuhuan killed one of them and wounded another two in self-defense, while temporarily insane. 看到母亲受到放高利贷人的侮辱，于欢出于自我防卫，一时疯狂，杀死其中一人并致伤另外两人。

Even if 可视为等同于 even though
even if 表示条件，是if 的强调形式；even though 表示让步，是though 的强调形式。

• He borrowed my car, even though I told him not to. 他借走了我的车，即使我告诉他别这么做。
• My grades were always excellent, even though I was often absent. 即使我经常缺课，我成绩也问题很棒
• Even though he worked overtime every day, he still couldn't finish his work. 即使他每天都加班，仍然无法完成工作。

attribute to 归因于

• Sometimes we tend to attribute success to luck. 有时我们愿意将成功归因于运气。

Rather than 与其...还不如

• Hanhan is a racer rather than a writer. 与其说韩寒是个作家，还不如说他是个赛车手。
• I would like to go to the Dinosaur Park by bus rather than on foot. 我宁愿乘公交车去恐龙园，也不愿走着去。
• The sweater she bought was beautiful rather than cheap. 她买的毛衣与其说是便宜，还不如说是好看。
• The depression disease is psychological rather than physiological. 忧郁症更多是心理的，而不是生理的。
