Partially Correct Response
Why was it only partially correct?Perhaps highlight the part of the answer that was correct, then repeat the question and askfor an extension to that partially response.Why did the student respond with a silly response?Perhaps he does not feel he belongs in the class or he needs attention Students think it is better to be thought of a silly instead of not knowing the answer.Try to find something in the answer that might be interesting or might be correct and you could say something like ″ Yes I can see why you might say that, I had not thought of it in that wav.Incorrect Response Why did the student respond incorrectly.Possibly the question had a multiple components and the student was confused.
