Women and girls are the targets of violence sexual exploitation and abuse in conflict areas.So they develop a unique perspective on the effects of conflict.But they are severely under represented during effort to devoted to peacekeeping. For addressing the gap，US announced an initiative call GPOI to engage consult and protect women by improving the inclusion of a greater number of women in peace operation. This program works with 53 mind liking partner governments.And conducts courses on gender integration in peace operations . This new policy have brought some advantages. Ensuring the needs of local women are considered.Addressing the needs of female excombatants into civilian life during the process of demobilization and reintegration.Making the peacekeeping force more approachable.Empowering local women do serve as role models. The end it really makes tangible contributions to international peace and security.
