A10649 Day2 Tiny-house Dwellers

The 25 tiny-home residents in Walden Eco-Village in Peterborough, a town in New Hampshire, were displaced by the local zoning authorities for illegally dwelling in cottages and casitas forbidden to be full-time residences, with further building code violations discovered. Evicted in the mid-winter, an awful timing of a year, former Walden dwellers are currently suing the residence’s owner for his or her outlawed conduct. Another former tiny-house owner, Brianna O’Brien, was in a similar plight a year earlier, who eventually ended up with a Catch-22, a closed cycle where tiny-house owners gain no possible solution but could only be forced to move. These regulations, which requires costly amenities and furnishing in rental residences to meet with quality standards, deprive the dwellers in need of an economical shelter.
