On 22th April,a sharing lecture about Interpretation was given in the Mayflower by Yao Yanbo,a associate professor from Zhejiang Ocean University.
At last, Professor Yao introduced to us that consecutive and simultaneous interpreting are the two most widely used forms of interpreting.Simultaneous interpretation then talks person's a side to speak, translate a member a side to translate of interpret a way.Qnd Professor Yao also said that proper use of waiting tactic is good for interpreting target language information to the largest possible extent.
Then Professor Yao offered some self-training skills of simultaneous interpretation,which was of great value to the beginners.We got to know that working memory capacity constitutes an essential congnitive quality affecting simultaneous interpreting.Gradually,we sharpened our faculty of memorizing.
At last, Processor Yao's sharing opened eyes of audience.Almost everyone of us participated in the memorizing practice,and gained a new perspective.Ultimately, Professor Yao's wrapped up with a big round of applause.
