在翻译Learn Android Studio的过程中出现了emulation和simulation这两个单词。汉语翻译都是仿真，模拟的意思。但是英文原文中对这两个概念进行了区分，那么单纯的汉语翻译是无法讲清楚这中间的区别的，我也没有办法再翻译下去了，还好高中的时候买的像砖头一样的牛津高阶还在，搬出来查一查。
两个单词，我们一个一个来说吧。
emulation
在牛津高阶第七版的654页，出现在emulate的名词词条里，说明是emulate的名词形式。那么我们来解释emulate就可以了。
emulate
<1>to try to do sth as well as sb else because you admire them.
例句：She hopes to emulate her sister's sporting achievements.
她希望在运动成绩方面赶上她的姐姐。
<2>(computing)(of a computer program,etc)to work in the same way as another computer,etc. and perform the same tasks.
看两个意思，在计算机中科学中通常采用第二个意思。牛津中的中文翻译为“仿真，模仿”。
simulation
在牛津高阶第七版的第1870页。词条中也有两个意思。
<1>a situation in which a particular set of condition is created artificially in order to study or experience sth that could exist in reality.
例句：a computer simulation of how the planetfunctions
行星活动方式的计算机模拟
a simulation model
仿真模型
<2>the act of pretending that sth is real when it is not
例句：the simulation of genuine concern

看了两个意思，在计算机中应该选第一个意思。我们只需要对比英文解释就好了。
emulate
(of a computer program,etc)to work in the same way as another computer,etc. and perform the same tasks.
simulation
a situation in which a particular set of condition is created artificially in order to study or experience sth that could exist in reality.
看英文的解释emulate应该更加倾向于是表示”模拟“的意思。而且是用软件来实现的模拟另外一台计算机所能完成的事情。
simulation则不单单是指软件方面，它更加侧重于表示模型。按照现实的实物人工按照一定的比例或者规律制作出一个供研究人员研究使用的模型，比如飞机模型，赛车模型。
仔细 想想，应该这么想比较恰当：emulate侧重于一台计算机模拟另外一台计算机的行为；simulation侧重于说明使用模型来研究一切现实存在的物体。
