The residents in a tiny house community in the town of Peterborough, New Hampshire was evicted in mid-winter. One reason is that their buildings were not permitted as full-time residence. Another reason is they violated building code. Tiny house is affordable and economical by cutting down the floor space and frills, which makes the house illegal. It does not suit with local zoning boards. Lawmaker tried to introduce a bill to solve this issue. However, it didn’t work out. The regulatory pursuit of quality housing will make many residents end up with no housing.
