Concept of "the Middle Ages'"
The Middie Ages (adjective form:medieval) was a period of theOld World history from the 5th tothe 15th century. The period followed the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476, and precededthe Early Modern Era. It is one ofthe three major periods in the mostenduring scheme for analyzingEuropean history: classical civilization (or Antiguity), the Middie Ages, and the modern period.
