刘中光，号半梦山人、一统楼主、逆风散人、野风，湖南娄底涟源市石马山镇扶胜村人，当代实力派水墨画家、中央国家机关美协《美术报》特聘画家、国宾礼艺术家、原江苏省国画院特聘画家（每届三年）、中国东方文化研究会研究员、中华诗词学会会员、中国水墨巨匠艺术研究院会员、景天名家书画院艺术家、中国美协敦煌创作中心创作委员、中国民盟（香港）美术家协会副主席、三湘儿女书画研究院副院长、中国金陵印社顾问、名誉社长、中国书画家协会理事、一级美术师、中国国画家协会常务理事、湖南省美术家协会会员等。
主要成就有：
1、20年前曾三次有幸入展中国美术家协会主办的全国性大展並入编各大展作品集（其中两幅被收藏）；
2, 2012年4月在中国最高艺术殿堂—中国国家画院成功举办了“乡关何处”刘中光山水画展暨学术研讨会，並获得了刘龙庭、王鲁湘、张晨、韓墨、徐沛君等十多名著名全国专家学者及诗坛泰斗、国务院参事室文化顾问、著名文艺评论家、90高龄的丁芒老先生等人的高度评价及赞扬！中央电视台书画频道、人民广播电台、人民网、新华网等百多家网络媒体报刊杂志进行了重点采访和报导；
3、本人作品曾入展过在中囯美术馆、军事博物馆、
全国政协礼堂、陕西省美术博物馆、河南省博物馆、中国宋庄及全国其它场館展出的重大展览；其中“百花争艳”首届当代优秀中青年书画家进京邀请展及笔会在全国政协礼堂成功举办。
4，曾荣获过最具学术价值与市场潜力的全国百名山水画家等，在第四届最具网络人气艺术家评选活动中（共有三万多名参赛艺术家）荣获前60名（均为最高奖）並与国学大师饶宗颐、著名书画家李世南、马南坡、汤立等十人一同授于中国十大传统艺术家荣誉称号；

Liu Zhongguang, courtesy names Banmeng Shanren, Yitong Louzhu, Nifeng Sanren and Yefeng, is a native of Fusheng Village, Shimashan Town, Lianyuan City, Loudi, Hunan Province. He is a distinguished contemporary ink wash painter. His professional titles include Specially Appointed Painter of Fine Arts News under the Central State Organs Artists Association, State Guest Ceremony Artist, former Specially Appointed Painter of Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Academy (with a three-year term per appointment), Research Fellow of the China Oriental Culture Research Association, Member of the Chinese Poetry Society, Member of the China Ink Wash Master Art Research Institute, Artist of Jingting Famous Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Creative Committee Member of the Dunhuang Creation Center of the Chinese Artists Association, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Artists Association of China Democratic League, Vice President of the Sanxiang Children Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Consultant and Honorary President of China Jinling Seal Society, Director and First-Class Fine Artist of the Chinese Painters and Calligraphers Association, Executive Director of the China National Painters Association, and Member of the Hunan Artists Association.
Major Artistic Achievements
1. Twenty years ago, he was selected for three national large-scale exhibitions sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association. His works were compiled into the official collection of each exhibition, among which two pieces were permanently collected by professional art institutions.
2. In April 2012, he successfully held the solo landscape painting exhibition and academic seminar Where Is My Hometown at the China National Academy of Painting, China’s supreme art institution. The event received high praise from more than ten nationally renowned experts and scholars, including Liu Longting, Wang Luxiang, Zhang Chen, Han Mo and Xu Peijun, as well as the 90-year-old Ding Mang, a prestigious poetic master, cultural consultant of the State Council Counselor’s Office and distinguished literary critic. The exhibition was intensively interviewed and reported by over a hundred mainstream media, newspapers and journals, including CCTV Calligraphy and Painting Channel, China National Radio, People’s Daily Online and Xinhuanet.
3. His works have been displayed in numerous major exhibitions held at authoritative venues nationwide, including the National Art Museum of China, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Military Museum, the National CPPCC Auditorium, Shaanxi Art Museum, Henan Museum and Beijing Songzhuang Art Zone. Among them, the Hundred Flowers Bloom First National Invitational Exhibition and Art Exchange Event for Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Chinese Painters and Calligraphers was successfully held at the National CPPCC Auditorium with his works exhibited.
4. He has been honored as one of the National Top 100 Landscape Painters with Outstanding Academic Value and Market Potential. In the 4th Most Popular Artist Online Selection, which attracted more than 30,000 participating artists, he ranked among the top 60, winning the highest honor. He was also conferred the title of One of China’s Top Ten Traditional Artists, together with ten eminent masters including the great sinologist Jao Tsung-I and renowned painters Li Shinong, Ma Nanpo and Tang Li.
5. He was awarded the honorary plaque of Distinguished Artist with Exemplary Moral Integrity and Artistic Attainments by the Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China.
6. His paintings and calligraphy works have been successively published in numerous authoritative newspapers, periodicals and classic art collections, such as Chinese Painting and Calligraphy News, Western Academic Journal and Art Panorama.

His artworks have been permanently collected by the China National Academy of Painting, Peng Dehuai Memorial Hall, the organizing committee of the National Calligraphy and Painting Masters Invitational Exhibition Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Marshal Liu Bocheng’s Birth, Chang’an Painting Academy, Loudi Museum, Loudi Art Museum, as well as various art institutions and private collectors across the country.
